December 29, 200717 yr Tragic news. There have a been several incidents of this type in recent years - a Benfica player, a Seville player, Foe playing for Cameroon, a York City player a few years before that. Horrific. Condolences to his family and club.
December 30, 200717 yr A tragedy , just heard he has 4 young children . Puts things into perspective dosent it . I complain about things in my life and will probably continue to do so , but when you think of a young family losing their dad , maybe I should think again before making any complaints. Shocking news. R.I.P.
December 30, 200717 yr It is horrible. The reason I wasn't around yesterday was because I was invited down to my neightbours house at about 2pm for a couple of drinks. It was ony supposed to be an hour long thing but a fair few folk turned up and the booze started flowing. Anyway one of the other people there is a massive Motherwell fan and in the early evening he asked me to check the scores on my mobile and see if there was a match report on the game. It was then I read what had happened and I had to take the bloke aside and tell him - the bloke was devastated. Four young kids as well. Poor poor people.
December 30, 200717 yr Author Why is it, of all the players this could happen to, it happens to a player that you really wouldnt mind your kids having as a role model. A genuine nice guy, teetotal & devoted to his family.
January 1, 200817 yr Sad. Really sad. Christmas time and all... My thoughts go out to his family. What was the cause of death? I read something about a stroke but it was just a guess at the time.
