Extremely sad, devistating for the family, friends and fans rest in peace.

Tragic news. There have a been several incidents of this type in recent years - a Benfica player, a Seville player, Foe playing for Cameroon, a York City player a few years before that. Horrific. Condolences to his family and club.

A tragedy , just heard he has 4 young children . Puts things into perspective dosent it .

I complain about things in my life and will probably continue to do so , but when you think of a young family losing their dad , maybe I should think again before making any complaints.

It is horrible. The reason I wasn't around yesterday was because I was invited down to my neightbours house at about 2pm for a couple of drinks. It was ony supposed to be an hour long thing but a fair few folk turned up and the booze started flowing. Anyway one of the other people there is a massive Motherwell fan and in the early evening he asked me to check the scores on my mobile and see if there was a match report on the game.

It was then I read what had happened and I had to take the bloke aside and tell him - the bloke was devastated.

Four young kids as well. Poor poor people.

Tragic indeed.

Why is it, of all the players this could happen to, it happens to a player that you really wouldnt mind your kids having as a role model.

A genuine nice guy, teetotal & devoted to his family.

God, that's terrible even for a teetotaller.
