Interesting question. I was asking myself, if we could only win one game out of the Utd match and wednesday's match which would I have chosen. I went for wednesday because the CL was still in our hands. Obviously though I would prefer to win both and there's no reason why we can't. The same applies here. Why settle for one when you could have two?

But if push comes to shove I'd go for the Prem. That's the true test of a side. CL is luck of the draw.

Prem for me, by a mile. Would be a great team achievment to win it now.

As for the cup, as long as we knock out the scousers I would settle for a place in the final, but the League would be just to great to describe.

Premiership, no question. CL involves a lot of luck and any ol team can win it. That said, if we don't win the league and we win the CL... I can't say I'd be too gutted.

Why not have your cake and eat it too - both - anything else is a failure and Grant should be hung, drawn and quartered

Prem without any doubts...the way the team has fought for it, when everyone was thinking that we would be fighting for a UEFA spot when Jose was shown the door. We were trailing by ten points for the title, everyone was saying that it's going to be a race between Man Utd and Arsenal, and here we are tied on points for the first place, looking to make a double and Arsenal is falling apart.

If we win the prem, I think we could silence all the critics and really show what the team is really about. We haven't had much spending money this year, we had a third rate manager, and a great number of missing players troughout the year. I think if we get it, this title would be more memorable for me then the first under Jose's reign.

to wrestle away the bpl title from tt would be a massive achievement. unless loz does it, in which case I demand a calciopoli style inquest.

What exactly is the question: what we prefer to win, or what we think we are going to win?

In case of the first, I would prefer us to win the Premier League; in case of the latter, I think we are going to win sod all.

You've been listening to Grant too much mate. We were level on points with Utd and 2 behind Arsenal! (But we had played 1 game more)

Of course the premier league is what it's all about and at the start of any season, that would always be the pick of the trophies.

But at this stage I would have to go for the champions league and I'm sure most if not all of the players would too - especially JT. The hurt on his face in the lost semi finals showed all too clearly and he must want to win the CL big time.

And I think that you can't help but get a little complacent when you win things once or twice. For years, I dreamed about us winning the FA Cup at Wembley as I was only a nipper in 1970 and couldn't really recall it that well. So 1997 under Ruud was massive for me - so, so memorable and made all the better following the 4-2 against the scousers on route to the final (those tears of their supporters at the end of the match icon_lol.gif ).

But the FA cups wins since have been nowhere near as memorable - nor the Carling Cup wins. Great to win them, but not real goosebump jobs. And same with the league - that first one, brilliant. But the league always seems something of an anti-climax. You fight to win it over all those months and then suddenly you're handed the trophy and almost straight away, everyone is talking about who will win the league next season.

To be viewed upon as a big successful club, I think you have to have a Champions League win on your list of honours. I do agree, that the CL is easier to win than the premiership, but we need to join the Real Madrid's and AC Milans.

My mistake...but I don't have any shows that show the manager interviews...so I haven't been listening to Grant. You have to admit though, just looking at this forum, what we thought would happen when Jose left.

Champions League for me.

I agree with most that the Prem is the one you set out to win and miraculously after some of our recent results, especially at home, we are still in with a shout. To be truthful I had given it up long ago, so any possibility of now winning it again would be truly amazing.

I did and still do believe that this will be the easiest season in which to win the Champions league. Madrid, Barca, and the 2 Milans are WELL below par. I predicted early on in the Group stages that it would be an all English final and that we would win it.

We need a CL on our CV if we are to shut these scouse f*ckers up for once and for all and this is the season to win our first !!!

I agree that we need to win UCL, but even if did win it this year, it wouldn't shut the Scousers up. They'd just sing about those five times even louder. Then again, we need to start somewhere and there's no better time to start it than now.

thats the spirit just wait till 10 years when weve won it 6 times, this is my prediciton...
