We have 3 world class right backs at the club, and only 1 place available, they cant be pushed up into midfield , we have that area sorted. So one of either Belletti or Ferreira must go, who ?

If i'm not mistaken Beletti was in the Brazilian WC winning squad circa 2002 so Scolari coached him, too.

I don't know who will make way but my choice would be Beletti. With Paulo and Bosingwa we'll have RB position sorted.

lose paulo and we won't really have a defensive player, we'll have two attackers. keeping paulo means we will continue to have varied options in that position.

We actually have four international right backs.

Ivanovich is an international right back.

But he is also an international central defender and I suspect that if Carvalho goes, he will partner Terry, in preference to Alex.

In answer to your question - possibly none of them - but I wouldn't be surprised to see Bridge leave.

Under Scolari, Ferriera is Portugal's first choice left-back.

So it would not surprise me at all if he decides that Bridge is the man who is surplus to requirements.

"Speaking in Sao Paulo, Chelsea's Brazil international defender Juliano Belletti celebrated the arrival of a Brazilian manager at Stamford Bridge: "He must only have accepted because they met his demands. He is very intelligent. He will know how to deal with everything," he said.

"He was the one who was responsible for putting me in the national team, for the World Cup. For me and [Chelsea's Brazilian centre-half] Alex it will be great to have a Brazilian manager."

My feelings exactly. If Scolari is our next manager, then I could see Paulo being used more and more. A more defensive minded RB, and coverage for Cashley after he's been out shagging all night. Unfortunately, I think that Bridge will be a player to leave, and thus we will have Cole, Paulo, and I believe even Ivanovic who can all play LB

All the Brazilian and Portugese players will be linked to us now that they share the language with our new coach.

Paolo just might find his 'lost' form now. Big-Phil undoubtly trusts Paolo very much so I think he will stay. He plays Paolo out of position and he is delivering IMO.

I like Belletti but maybe he is the surplus now.

This is going to be interesting.

I'm assuming Scolari asked for the Bosingwa deal. I've seen him in the recent two games and he has been outstanding. He's quick, focused, decisive, good at crossing and tracks back well.

Scolari trusts Paulo as a player and despite having other defenders in the squad, Miguel amongst those, he has played Paulo at LB for both the games - knowing very well that Paulo had little play time for Chelsea.

Scolari also gave Balletti his break when managing the Brazilian national squad.

So, he knows all 3 pretty well.

I think Balletti is on his way out - age and we have a better attacker in Bosingwa.

All this keeping in mind that we retain the services of Ashley Cole and Bridge.

Sums up my opinion too.

Remember when we were all surprised when Paulo signed that 5 year contract a few months ago ? Well maybe he knew something....

Anyway , here it comes....

i dont think any of them should go

they are both good players, and paulo as we have seen in the euro's seems quite comfortable on the left, so he should stay

we should keep belletti as cover and maybe play him as an attacking winger, as he seems to do better attacking than defending

I'm not so sure Belletti would make a great right winger/midfielder. Just because your an attacking defender, doesn't necessarilly equip you for a midfield role.

just want to point out one thing- scolari likes 3 at the back with wingbacks, there is no guarantee we would use a flat back four, and if that is the case, paulo could be the one to be deemed as the less important player to hold on to.
