Featured Replies

Ok... here we go. The voting has ended and the Shed End top-100 Movies of all time is ready. Here are the numbers 100-91:

I'll post the rest of the list some time soon. Feel free to post comments on the movies 91-100.

young frankenstein at 95? shame on you all.

As much as I admire your endeavor Mak, I feel that it doesn't really work because fewer people have seen the more obscure art house films and haven't voted for them. If more people had seen The Battle of Algiers and 400 blows there would be no way they would vote for the Lion King or City of God ahead of them :P

It's the best films of all time - the Shed End Edition, not the film critics edition. :P

Nice one Maks, good effort mate,

I would have had my money Pulp Fiction to be No 1 as I was scrolling down.

Surprised American Grafitti got in so high...I have watched that film at least once every couple of years since the 70s, I love the old Motors in it.

cheers maksimov, have some maksi for your work :tHumBsBeeR: . my own choice of the big lebowski at no.3 makes me happy, as does the film.

Not a bad little list. As stated, this is just the Shed End Version! Some good picks, some shocking ommitions, and some wacky rankings, but again this iss all subjective!

Nice work Maks

Quite right. The same could be said about the recent Empire magazine's list(which was the initial inspiration for this list) or about any old "top movies of all time" -list, no matter who voted for the movies on the list. I like to talk about movies so I thought it'd be fun to see what sort of list us Shed Enders would create. I wish more people would have posted their top-10 list, though. I thought the list might work as a bit of a conversation starter as people never agree with these sort of lists. It's impossible to agree with these sort of lists, because as you said: "this is all subjective", so ranking movies is not an exact science. Which just makes it all the more fun(at least for me).

I kept waiting to see where Resevoir Dogs would end up, and was shocked that it did not make the list. Too bloody?

I don't think it's the blood because Pulp Fiction did well and there's a fair bit of blood in that.

By the way, how come you've got Vinni Puh as your avatar?
