We're missing a certain attacker, who was Premiership assist leader until he got injured.

D 0-0 vs Everton - Malouda doesn't feature

D 0-0 vs West Ham - Malouda doesn't feature

L 2-1 vs Arsenal - Malouda brought on as a late sub

Before he was dropped/injured, we were flying high at the top, and now we're languishing in second, looking over our shoulders for Man Ure and Villa.

Bring back Florent Malouda!

(It's up to you how seriously you take this topic ;))

I won't take this thread seriously.

I did think it was going to be about Ray Wilkins though.

I have to admit, although he can be so poor at beating men and crossing (in quite alot of games) and the fact that this topic was started in a semi-joking nature, we do need more width, Deco just comes strolling in to the middle, same with joey, atleast Flo sticks to the wing!

Come back Malouda all is forgotten, haha

Although watch me change my mind as soon as he plays a messes up again :P

Malouda is no more a winger than Deco or Joey. He is more of an inside left. I know he is constantly abused on here - often by me - but he has played some good games this season and he does help keep the ball ticking over in midfield.

The man we are missing the most sits 6 points clear on top of Serie A. :P

No not Brian's lover with the hair band.

Something I've noticed without Malouda is that we don't make any chances any more.

When we had Malouda - Anelka - whoever, we'd have at least 20 a game. 19 of them might have been absolute sh*te, but it's better than none...

How many goals have we scored in our last four league games? Isn't it three?

i too have been drinking, but i agree with you :P

ash cole needs some support down the left, and although malouda is lazy, he does help cole to get forward a lot more than anyone else we have

Ashley Cole played a lot better with Malouda ahead of him, and tracking back to cover defence duties. I still think Malouda is a poor player, unfortunately the likes of Deco, Joe Cole, Kalou etc were terrible for a month now

Essien is the man we miss most, his drive and power is what the team needs now more than ever.

Ditto. Hopefully he'll be back soon, especially for the MU game next month.

Is he injured? I've always liked Malouda and don't know why everyone hates him he lead in assists last season I think.

Deco and Ballack looked lost yesterday, and Joe Cole, I don't even know what happened to him this season..

This can't be a serious question. Malouda is worth a little more his weight in manure and just as useful against top quality opposition. He is also one of the most awful finishers we have ever had and completely loses the plot when he is guarded a little too close. No, we have not missed him. I for one would be happy if he doesn't play a big role in the season ahead.

After the CL final who'da thought we'd all be singing Anelka praises this season?

Oiy... Now we need Malouda back, next we'll all have Ashley Cole bleeds blue tattoos and hail Jody Morris a "top bloke" - has the world gone mad?!

I've always like Malouda, and always have stood by him. I think he is more consistant than Deco, who can have one moment of brilliance to mask over all other atrocities he adds to the game. Now Malouda isn't technically a winger, so I think that is why people give him so much criticism...they are expecting a Duff or RObben to cut to the by-line and fire in crosses.

I think Malouda is a little more direct, and look at his assists, and the couple goals he's scored, and ou certainly should be taking this thread somewhat seriously

Scott

I personally hope Malouda isn't out for long. It didn't look like he was limping when he went off. But on the positive, having Anelka and Drogba on the same pitch worked (sort of).

i think the team misses essien the most tbh and malouda is till dont rate highly at all, wish we'd just onload him and sign someone else
