That's a shame but not unexpected.

Such a great little band when they first formed. First two albums were brilliant. But once they started to get influenced by Josh Homme / Queens of the Stoneage, it's been downhill from there.

It sounds like an album Alex Turner should have done solo or with The Last Shadow Puppets. The problem with releasing this with Arctic Monkeys is everyone is obviously comparing it to their previous albums. The new one sounds just like Bowie's older stuff, which in its own right isn't shocking. Its just people have certain expectations with Arctic Monkeys and they haven't been reached here.

Been at Neighborhood Weekender festival all weekend so listened to a lot of good acts.

Courteeners and DMA's were brilliant as always however Noel Gallagher was a massive disappointment, seems to be getting worse every time i see him now.

A few others that were brilliant were Gerry Cinnamon, The Magic Gang, Red Faces and The Night Cafe. Smaller bands but definitely worth a listen if anyone gets a chance.
