Is it really fair that some, like Sky, already knows the decision? Surely it should have been kept secret?

No doubt Roman and Chelsea will only be targeted more by the press now. Seriously though whats the point. FIFA is a corrupt organization and they won't even review corrupt decisions on the pitch. Time for England and other countries to pull out.

like I said earlier in the week, let's not waste our time, money and effort anymore...clearly loathed by these old bitter farts, who are there on the take to the highest bidder

Did that balding squat little man call Russia a continent? Surely it's a country in a continent? Or did I misinterpret him?

Swing and a miss for the entire Commonwealth, what a shame.

Russia 2018 and Quatar 2022 - tell me this isn't corrupt? - go on someone argue it isn't!!!!!!
Actually - agure their merits against England, then name 5 stadiums from each country!!!!!! I'll make it easier - name 2!!!!

How many players are going to pass out in the 130 degree heat in Qatar?

To quote one of our favourites "Its a disgrace!" I guess if I try to take an independent standpoint I can see some logic in Russia since they have a great history in the game and have never hosted it. Although if we were truely voted out in the first round that would be appalling. But Qatar? There is nothing more than money behind their bid. They've never even qualified for the finals.

Apparently they have given some assurances that their stadia will have some crazy design that maintains the temperature so it goes no higher than 26C. I'm sure there will be plenty of money spent on that sort of thing. But still it is wrong. If they hadn't already then FIFA have now sold their souls.

Now who remembers a certain man saying several months ago that Spain would win the world cup and Russian would win the 2018 world cup bid. Congratulations FIFA, your a f**king disgrace AGAIN. f**k you, Platini and f**k you, Blatter.

Could be a way to try and expand the world of football.
Though Qatar is a f*cked up football country. They spend s*itloads of money on players who isn't owned by the teams, but can be tossed to any team at all if the football association there feels like it. And few actually watches the game.
Football there seems more like a plaything for the rich dudes.
Besides, it can get more than 120 degrees in the summer there. It'll be a nightmare. I remember the first World Cup I saw which was in USA and the players thought it was hot there. It'll be nothing compared to Qatar.
But on the other hand, they probably have enough money to pay for cooler weather something.

From the BBC:
And now let's all put our hands together and congratulate the mighty footballing nation of Qatar.
Quote
1549: England bid ambassador and BBC presenter Gary Lineker has confirmed that England were knocked out in the first round of voting. They came fourth out of four. I'm stunned.
And now let's all put our hands together and congratulate the mighty footballing nation of Qatar.
