  2. Poor Frank, all three goals scored by players he managed here. His man management is that good it's still effective seven years on:
  3. Lampard won't last till Christmas.
  4. Went to see Pressure at the cinema yesterday morning. A good film with a good cast. A few inaccuracies but I've come to expect that from films about historical events. I thought that the portrayal of Kay Summersby, Ike's driver and aide was wrong as the film gave the impression that she played a key role. James Stagg's prediction of the weather on 5 June the original date for D Day proved right and it was right to put back the invasion a day. It would have been good if more emphasis had been put on the views of Bertram Ramsay and Trafford Leigh-Mallory and not just on those of Bernard Montgomery. Possibly because Montgomery is better known than the other two. I thought Andrew Scott was excellent as Stagg. Worth going to watch. Despite what I've written above still better than some of the films about historical events I've watched. Braveheart and The Imitation Game spring to mind.
  5. Great picture. Can’t remember having seen it before on here.

  7. We've also got Smeghead
  8. Great to see Vitesse Arnhem's shirt in the colours of the Airborne Division in memory of those who took part and lost their lives during Operation Market Garden. Vitesse are playing home this weekend. https://www.vitesse.nl/nieuws/2026/airborne-tenue-20262027-v-van-vrijheid
  9. Seen Chelsea were putting some heavy PR about him earlier on socials through their usual channels
  10. Good job Dat Guy Welbz is here
  11. I wonder if Eden and JT were discussing the many fine results against Spurs especially the 2-2 draw in 2016. One of those times when a draw felt like a victory.

  14. Today

  15. Mason Mount scores. Bless him.
  16. He has been withdrawn from the Brazil squad due to injury so I doubt he will feature on Friday.
  17. The officials see what they want to see, not what VAR shows them.
  18. I find it hard to be too upset about the offside given what I said about the red card before, but it was a clear error for sure. It's indeed mind-boggling given what the FA says versus how VAR actually operates. They have likely been unable to train VAR and referees to operate the way they say they want it to work.
  19. Proper Chels starting his career here injured 🤣🤣
  20. I promise you JT won the round. *Well seeing they are both mic'd up I guess we will see it at some point.

  22. I'm going with Pedro Neto in the 32nd minute. 🤔
  23. Rogers up top. Palmer & Estevao in behind then.
  24. I don't understand why the implementation of it is so difficult. Unless it's a clear and obvious mistake, go with the on field decision. If you need to slow it down and take a look at it from multiple angles, then it's not clear and obvious. A bit of common sense is all that is needed. The offside goal for City is nothing but incompetence though. VAR being in the game isn't at fault for that, it's the officials that are the problem. It's the most basic of basic decisions. Is Enzo Fernandez interfering with play? Of course, so it's offside.
  25. Scored two against a team that hadn’t conceded yet in the league. We can outscore anyone. Brighton were the best goal scorers in the league and we outscored them. It’s Brentford ffs not Bayern Munich.
  26. Don’t really know which thread to stick this in, so this will have to do. If anyone has come across HITC Sevens on any of the socials, they post a lot of football content but they’ve been on a Generational run just recently with some of the most bizarre videos such as; The 7 Best footballers who NEVER played for Besiktas Ranking all of David Nugents striker partners from Worst to Best The Uruguay 1930 World Cup Winning squad, Where are they now? The 7 Worst Bald People in Football I’ve been howling every upload, anyway turns out the lad was attempting to get fired to be released from his contract. Some real malicious compliance there.
  27. I think they messed up big time in the Manchester derby — it happens. I still think VAR remains a bit of a lie though; we were told it would only be used for clear and obvious errors, and that's simply not what happens. For me, the absolute worst is the major rewinding of plays to find a questionable foul and then take a goal back, like they did so many times at the WC. Perhaps they could use a challenge system like the NFL. At the very least, it would limit the number of interruptions.
  28. The South American Ravel Morrison. Still time to turn a corner, but seems his attitude stinks. BBC SportWhat's gone wrong for Chelsea talent Kendry Paez?Kendry Paez was one of the world's best young talents when Chelsea signed him as a 16-year-old. Three years later, he's playing for the Under-21s. So what has gone wrong?
