Pep Chavarria
Surprised so many people are concerned with the transfer fee. Transfer fees mean nothing to BlueCo, as they'll probably end up spending twice as much on kids who'll be discarded in less than a year with their value tanking. If this is a signing Alonso genuinely wants then we should get him regardless of the fee imo. After all, each director gets to make a senseless signing or two each window, why not the manager?

Don’t we have Hato, Quenda and Barco and even palestra can play there. This guy was going to be an experienced squad player nothing more no way we pay that. How did the release clause double anyway?

World Cup 2026
Which points do you want me to debate? If it's about leaving some players behind who are better on the ball, yes, I agree we should have brought some differernt players. I don't watch much beyond CHelsea, so can't comment on players form this year, but I would have brought people like Trent, Foden, maybe Wharton who had a good season I believe. And left people like |Henderson, Chalobah, etc... at home. He could have used Mainoo in the middle as well. If it's about him failing to change the mindset - yes, he did. But this is something I don't think you can lay entirely on the manager. You can try as hard as you like, but you can't change what's going on inside another man's head, and if 11 of them decide that they are under too much pressure to push forward and naturally retreat, it's very hard to change that. In that scenario where the team is going against instruction and won't do anything but defend, I'm not sure there are many managers who could motivate them out of it. I agree with a lot of the points in isolation. What I don't agree with is laying 100% of the blame on the manager, when clearly the players were A) either not good enough, or not mentally/physically up for the fight, and B) didn't do what the manager wanted them to do.

Xabi Alonso - New Chelsea Manager
Wonder what Alonsos facial expression will be when our marvelous directors tell him he has to make do with Neto as his left wing back, and Badishille and Disasi as his "new" center back signings?

BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
You are forgetting whatever has been spent to bring in Quenda, Emegha and Barco. Now with Uefas FFP system switching to this squad cost ratio, along with the PL PSR system I wonder have the sales of Santos, Cucurella and George, along with Trev's sale coming up, been enough to satisfy these both? Do we need more sales just to meet them? Or more sales to make money available for a few more 18-21 year olds? I have no idea how Uefas squad cost ratio system works, anyone care to fill those of us who have no clue in?

BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
the only thing about this season is we have a proper manager in charge. However, Areola goes badly at Anfield, you know exactly where they will turn come January or next summer, without the appointment of Alonso, we are relegation fodder IMO. Im expecting him to work a miracle and he will need Palmer and others to be on top from and jijury free.

Or you could try and argue the points I made, rather than just ignore it an blame bias.

Reece James
The problem is that James isn't a very good midfielder. He has his moments, but no more than that.

BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
Midway through July, let's sum up the transfer window so far. Bought Palestra. A young full back off the back of his first good season for £47m. Sold Cucurella for £47.5m + 4.7m in future add ons ( pathetic, should have been £60m, minimum ) Interest in Lacroix and Wharton, both have gone quiet. Lacroix more likely, but not even close to being done by the looks of things. Tried to sign Xhaka, failed. Tried to sign Pep Chavarria, a mediocre full back without a single cap for Spain or appearance in the Champions League. Offered a low amount, Rayo Vallecano asked to match his release clause which was £21m at the time. Now it's somehow gone up to £42m and they are demanding that instead. Sold Santos to Man Utd for £50m, a direct rival for top 4. Selling Chalobah to Como for a pathetic £30m. Enzo wants out, but nobody wants to pay the money. Desperately trying to shift Garnacho, the best we will get is a loan. Jackson is back because we can't sell him. Delap, Disasi, Badiashile, Tosin, etc, players that need to be sold won't be sold. No FOS sponsor for another year. I really didn't think this lot could get much worse, but they've done it. There is no way Alonso isn't already concerned.

World Cup 2026
It's hard to have a real debate on it here, because some people have had a hate boner for Tuchel since the moment he walked into Stamford Bridge and can't wait to slag him off at every turn.

Trevoh Chalobah
Re-reading it I think you are right about the fake quotes from TC.

Enzo Fernandez - Officially a Blue!
I suppose we have to hand it to the w**ker, as he is a chelsea player but I cant ever remember him putting in a performance like that in our blue shirt. Hopefully never darkens the club doorstep again...
-
Trevoh Chalobah
Just another nail in the coffin of Chelsea FC. Not because of the sale of Trev but the treatment of him over the past 2-3 years. Absolutely vile and it’s great he gets to live somewhere as wonderful as Como for the next x amount of years. It’s irrecoverable now that we are fully BlueCo CFC LDN. Clubs dead.
-
Alejandro Garnacho
Are the Dutch known for their caps?
-
Trevoh Chalobah
Happy for Trev, he deserves better than BlueCo.
-
Trevoh Chalobah
the ownership of this club disgust me. Most solid consistent performer sold because the vile owners continue to asset strip the club. Always welcome back and I hope you do so to a heros welcome. His sale is outrageous. lots wont be bothered but we are losing an England world cup semi finalist for chumps change.
-
Trevoh Chalobah
Football is f**king dead. Bloke bleeds Chelsea blue, would happily play back up just to be here, and we're selling him anyway. EDIT: This is highly likely to be fake by the way. I stand by everything I said, but just thought I would let you know.

Trevoh Chalobah
Conducted himself with a lot of class over the last few seasons. I still think we would be just as good as we are now maybe even better if we had just promoted from our academy and saved the billions. Good luck Trev.

It would be nice to see his name spelt correctly. Proper Chels. 😪

Yes, a glow in the dark orange one, so no fumbling.

World Cup 2026
I think Tuchel wanted them to defend not to surrender. It was like an " open house". All welcome in our penalty area.
-
World Cup 2026
I agree he has ultimately failed. I just disagree with the notion that it is all his fault and its as simple as making attacking changes to change the defend first mentaltiy that largely came about cause everyone was fatigued.
-
World Cup 2026
Tuchel there complaining that our DNA doesnt want to take the ball and control it, after leaving behind all the English players that can take the ball and control it and taking Henderson along to do quizzes and magic shows.

World Cup 2026
There's some blame to share. Neither Tuchel nor the England team are top drawer. Here is an article I can agree on: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2026/jul/16/thomas-tuchel-england-2026-world-cup-semi-final-exit-argentina
