i'd take SWP...he may be somewhat inconsistent but like its been said a few times in this thread he's grat in a central attacking role, and hes so damn exciting to watch even if he occasionally makes me want to run through the tv and strangle him as he falls to the ground avoinding people...kalou on the other hand always seems to be in the thick of things always around goal and making passes and runs that really cause trouble for opposition...i think at the moment i'd go with kalou as the better choice, however, i think we shouldnt sell either i would guess they're both imperative to the future

I'm a little nervous about this one but I think its a must win and I think we'll be up to it...I'd guess the team will be about the same as wed.'s but to be honest I think this would be a great game to try out a 4 4 2 see how anelka and drogs connect up front and take the game straight to Sunderland demoralizing them with a few early goals...3-0 to the chels

I think its totally unreasonable and ridiculous to sit around and say jose would have beat spuds and grant is incapable of being manager...first these aren't even his players and if he's fired before he's allowed a full summer to sign and sell players and build his own squad then I see chelsea's manager job become a revolving door allowing under acheiever after under acheiver in until we become what newcastle has become...granted we have played bad the last two games VERY BAD, and I'm not in the least happy about either performance and feel somehting ahs to change, however, I think with all these huge names at the club Grant's in quite a dilemma in choosing a squad...I'd like to see many changes at the club in the summer...GRANT LEAVING SHOULDNT BE ONE OF THEM! p.s. we're still in the 3 competitons we really want anyway so enough of all this calling for grant's head over the carling cup

I like the draw def agree with the comments about the atmosphere being great in Athens, but if we dont get through I'll be disappointed. In fact, I'll be expecting a draw away and a win at home.

Totally agree, and, moreover, I've noticed Avram's got most of the players playing totally up to par at where Jose had them, as the results show, and some playing much better given the right oppurtunities like SWP. A player that seemed to be hitting some lows under Jose who I think has really benefitted from the "new style" grant brings. Not only that but Sheva seems to be regaining some form, given he may just be getting adjusted to the EPL, but whatever the case those are just two examples of players that have seemed to flourish with Grant's arrival and I'd be expecting to see one or two more like them in the Jan. window.

Cudicini Belleti Alex Carvalho Bridge Essien Mikel Lampard SWP Joey Cole Drogba ....I'd like to see drogba and belleti both on short leashes after the Schalke debacle. I'd like to see Sheva get some good time as I think his form is really improving of late. I think we'll score 3 goals, SWP plays a part in at least 2 and probably gets 1 of those for himself and Sheva comes on for the 3rd. I don't think we'll keep a clean sheet and I'd love to say they'd only score 1 but I think Carlo may make a mistake and concede a second. 3-2 Chels

Can we really call this game a pressure-cooker game? Given, the atmosphere was probably very tough, but we were already top of the group with a good chance of qualifying with just the point we took and on a run of very good form. None of that really adds up to any added pressure for me other than the pressure that already comes with the CL.

I just don't think we can call for Grant to be gone after one game like this...I for one was really encouraged by recent results that everything was going back to normal, and I still think they are. Let's see how we do at the weekend before we call for Grant's head. Plus I always thought this away fixture at Schalke was going to be a tough game in a tough atmosphere that I think was probably made even tougher since Schalke probably came out with some extra fire for their fans after their recent run of form capped by losing to bottom feeders Cottbus at the weekend. I think the game should have been won and I said 2-1 Chels before the game but I wasn't going to be surprised by a draw probably didn't expect 0-0 but I'll take the point away at Schalke which I, as I said before, think was the toughest game in our group phase.

if anyone in america gets espn deportes it looks like they're showing the chelsea game replay at 6...don't know if you feel like waiting for the result but its on there and it also looks like it'll be on sopcast not sure what channel though...chelsea 2 schalke 1 drogba brace

I definitely see chelsea first in the group, but I think it will be tough especially at Schalke who I think should get 2nd as they're a team on the rise while I hear rumors of team chemistry problems in Valencia.
