darrus reacted to Virosh in The Chronicles of Brendan 'Cringe Worthy' RodgersThose of you with good memories will remember this was posted last year, but with Moyes in the centre. Oh, how I wish this trend would continue, with new faces each time.

9 things Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers probably wishes he never said
-
darrus reacted to Englishman in Following our ex`s...He's still playing snooker, just verrrrrrrryy slooooowly. Five minutes for a break of 12 is a bit of a joke though.

Brendan must stay; a knee-jerk reaction to shipping 9 goals in 2 games would be a disaster, hope FSG stick with the plan and give Brendan another £120m to waste on a pile of cr*p.
If we're lucky LIverpool might be featuring in Survival Sunday this time next year....
-
darrus reacted to Spudulike in The Chronicles of Brendan 'Cringe Worthy' RodgersNooooo....please don't go. What would we discuss??

They say that Lampard was playing with a bunch of world class players and Gerrard wasn't, but Lampard was the best player at the club when playing with all of those world class players. I think that is much more impressive than Gerrard winning the odd trophy here and there with so called average players.
-
In which case... RAWK is right, he really has made only two signings of note.
Henderson was signed by Daglish too wasn't he?
Well at least he's transformed the attack with the inspired signings of Lambert, Balotelli, Borini and Aspas.
£40m worth of strikers with 5 league goals between them.

He's a decent coach who's good at getting the best out of certain players. But he's no more than that.
He's tactically inept compared to the likes of Van Gaal, Mourinho and even Wenger. He can't organise a defence and he's had 3 years trying to do it.
He has no 'pull'. What big name player out there thinks to himself; "I tell you what, I'd love to play under that Rodgers bloke one day."
No one. Not one player. He needs to win something and soon or he'll be under huge pressure from L'pool supporters. But the best thing about all of this is that their owners, FSG, will probably keep him on as long as possible because he fits their 'moneyball' model in buying cheap, younger players and selling them on at profit IF they become decent. There's no way that Ancelotti or Klopp would work with these rules, especially after being at bigger clubs in recent times (let's be honest, Dortmund are far bigger than Pool these days.)
My prediction is that we'll see B-Rod at a midtable Spanish or Italian club in 2 years time, like David Moyes.

darrus reacted to Backbiter in The Chronicles of Brendan 'Cringe Worthy' RodgersIf you spend £100m plus you really should be aiming for 63 points. -
Some of you are missing the point. Rodgers is trying to avoid the Europa league. He just needs to lose at Stoke, hope Spurs and Southampton win their final games and that Villa win the cup. Then he'll have another season with full weeks to prepare for every league game.
The man's a genius.
-
He's done a lot for he's people of Liverpool have I missed something ? Didn't drogba help fund a hospital and stop a war ? Now that's doing things for your people.
-
darrus reacted to Beerqueen in The Chronicles of Brendan 'Cringe Worthy' RodgersDon't. I occasionally fly from there. I don't think I could if that happened. Which reminds me of this - when they had a poor start to the season a few years back.
-
darrus reacted to Boyne in The Chronicles of Brendan 'Cringe Worthy' RodgersRodgers' comments are nauseating. As Beerqueen has written, Gerrard is only a footballer. There must be hundreds of people from Liverpool who have done far much more for the City and Rodgers is insulting them. Rodgers has lost the plot.
What next: renaming John Lennon Airport to Steven Gerrard Airport.

Evertonians might think different

darrus reacted to Valerie in The Chronicles of Brendan 'Cringe Worthy' RodgersI like her :-)

They still had as many players in their starting XI as us. It's just in the summer Jose bought Costa and Fabregas, while Brenton bought Balotelli and Markovic.
-
anyone watching MOTD 2?
Brendan said that we finished 3rd last season and they finished 2nd and said that the main reason was because we had 3 new players in our starting lineup and they lost 3 players from their starting lineup....
any guesses who Brendan claimed was the third player they lost from their starting lineup?
Jon Flanagan, yes ladies and gentlemen, Jon Flanagan is the reason why Liverpool didn't win the league this season
King Brenny has spoken
-
darrus reacted to Beerqueen in The Chronicles of Brendan 'Cringe Worthy' RodgersBut close!
-
That's brilliant.
If you take Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City and Man United out of the equation then we are actually 1st. That in my mind is progress.
Chelsea winning the league reminds me of when I won Championship playoffs with Swansea. A similarly great achievement
I'm not saying I'm giving up on winning the Premier League but Chelsea's victory has severely hampered our chances
Im gutted to lose Jon Flanagan for the rest of the season, for me he's up there with Glen Johnson as one of the best full backs in the world
-
I dunno mate, he lied about them having dignity, class and respect.
-
darrus reacted to Blue Daze in The Chronicles of Brendan 'Cringe Worthy' RodgersHe's the one who called us 'rentboys' after we beat them at Anfield and got so much abuse that he had to de-list the video from Youtube. Twat.
-
darrus reacted to Beerqueen in The Chronicles of Brendan 'Cringe Worthy' RodgersYeah it's difficult if you don't win your games.
-
darrus reacted to Gem in The Chronicles of Brendan 'Cringe Worthy' RodgersIt's frightening how close it came, thank god we stepped in when everyone else was laying down (except Palace too of course). -
