  1. How sad are all you people? The bloke has long left and yet you all still have to bitch-whine about him? f**king ridiculous.
  2. sliver
  3. That's pikey talk, Dicky. Not you, the bloke in the caravan offering to tarmac your drive for cash.
  4. Other than the inane "venom" from some people even before a ball is kicked when they drone on about Mount being picked because he's Frank's favourite, obviously.
  5. It's only got worse over the decades, as well.
  6. Yeah, sorry about that, I missed the nuance, and so totally agree with your original post. Sorry that your friend had to go through that, but really glad that he has comer out the other side.
  7. I don't judge a centre back on how many goals he scores, and neither does any sensible person who knows anything about football. Sky Sports Europe watchers who get all their knowledge from translations of what Jamie Redknapp manages to read from an autocue might judge a defender like that, but no-one else does.
  8. You've been making your self look silly about Mount for a long time now, but I have to tell you you are embarrassing yourself hugely by it. You keep on with that sort of bollocks and people won't take anything you post on any other thread seriously. Just grow up and stop it.
  9. I agree with most of that Andy, except the bolded bit. Covid won't be over by Christmas, nor likely the next one, and it is most probable that it is going to be with us forever in one form or another. We still don't know if people who have been infected are now immune, or for how long, If they manage to cobble through some sort of vaccine by next summer, it won't come out to the likes of you and me for a long time, and, like the flu, covid will mutate and affect people again. I honestly think the best we can hope for is that we all learn to live sensibly with it, the majority not being affected that badly, and medium-sized numbers of people getting very sick or dying. This time next year, if I'm still here, I expect to be having conversations like "Did you hear about old wossname, he caught it and died" or "I heard that Pete's had it, he's sorta recovered, but his lungs are a bit f**ked now, still, mustn't grumble, I managed to get one of the thousand tickets available for Saturday's match"
  10. You really are a bit of a prick, aren't you?
  11. Never ceases to amaze me how some of our fans have less patience than a starving cat at 20 past tea-time, and turn faster than milk left in the sun in August. Probably something to do with modern society and the need for everyone to get exactly what they want, exactly when they want it, encased in gold wrapping paper and providing superfast broadband to their 3-week old telephone. I blame the parents. And Kenyon.
  12. I used to live round the corner from Fratton Park in Prince Albert Road. Nightmare on match-days and even worse when you could see it because there was no-one around.
  13. I think it's quite likely that this is the "new normal" - Sky sports and BT subscriptions will go down a bit and then all matches will get to be PPV. It's a much more lucrative funding model in the long run, and eventually the prices will settle down bit , but never cheap. And then it will be much simpler to eradicate streaming as any PPV broadcast can be digitally identified as to the purchaser. It's the way of the world, semi-monopolies maximising their profits. Amazon and AppleTV will be on the game soon as well.
  14. Never was a great fan of Van Halen, and was surprised to see he was only 65. On an even sadder note for me, RIP Johnny Nash
  15. OK, I missed that between threads then.
  16. but, but, but twitter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! People in the know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. I haven't seen this posted yet - did I miss it? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54423086
  18. Don't be sillier than you already are. The middle gif you posted showed Mount being kneed in the groin and was a foul, not "he fell down" If you say stupid things like that, it is no wonder that no-one in here takes your opinions seriously.
  19. Did you SERIOUSLY post a gif of Mount being fouled as evidence of your slightly weird thesis?
  20. Will you just stop with your incessant bitch-whining and try to post one, just one positive opinion?
  21. It's Judy Murray, not Judy Morris, and she's more famous for training tennis players than footballers
  22. mate, this one is both witty and extremely knowledgeable about everything.
  23. I do like it when people join up in here all full of opinions and attitude especially when they are able to make up such witty and amusing nicknames for our players coupled with such an in-depth insight into the world of top-class football management, tactics and the transfer market. I particularly like when they get all confrontational from the gecko! And that is some sort of tribute coming from me.
  24. Our telly is probably a bit old now, but it has something called a "volume" button on the remote. Oddly, it can allow you to make the sounds coming out of the TV both louder AND quieter on the same button. A bit like Beckham's thermos flask.
