The Manc fans were giving it big time walking up Wembley Way before the game. They were doing that and singing "Chin Up Mourinho, chin up Mourinho". Needless to say they got it back in spades after the match. Incidentally, Robben tried the chin slapping thing and he is now out for at least a month with strained chin tendons. Best two songs I heard yesterday were: "Where's your double gone. Where's your double gone" - to the tune of Chirpy, chirpy cheep cheep. And current pop favourite "who's that coming over the hill is it a monster, is it a monster" was replaced with: "Who's that climbing off of your nan is it Wayne Rooney, is it Wayne Rooney"

Totally right. If anyone thinks that was anything other than a foul on Cech they are mental. If it had been a european game a UEFA ref might have sent Giggs off for sliding in late on the keeper.

Thought Mikel was our MOTM. Essien and Drogba were also top dollar. For them, Rooney caused us more problems than anyone else. His movement and timing of runs was superb. If we had him playing alongside Drogba we would be unstoppable.

Gallas. His levels of consistency, (wherever he was played), over 5 years were astonishing. Plus pace to burn.

We are all different and I don't want to get into an argument about what constitutes "support". But again, if I may be totally honest G4, when you post after a defeat such as the Liverplod one, I don't feel your pain. I rarely get the feeling from your words that you are as devastated, heartbroken, gutted, angry (call it what you will), as most of the other regulars on here. Of course that may simply be down to your analytical style of writing, (or my wrong impression), but most of us have big pairs of blue tinted glasses on much of the time when it comes to defending Chelsea from criticisim. But with you I get the impression you have a small pair of light reflecting mirror glasses. I can never remember you moaning about a dodgy decision, getting narked about a ref, slagging rival fans etc. In truth, I think you're too impartial much of the time.

To be fair G4, you did say once you never sing. And if I'm Being honest, I found that admission hard to reconcile with the concept of "support". But that's just me being old skool and you being East Stand I guess. As for Lofty and the bin dipper, my tuppenth sayeth........................ bring back Lofty. Sack the mouser. That's really all there is to say on this. It's not Drogba that's the problem. If we had a second striker to play alongside Drogs who had: A) The movement to get on the end of, (let's say eight times out of ten), balls played into feet. The body strength to hold possession when he had the ball and play in Drogba and other people around him. C) The pace to go past opponents on occaisions. We could perhaps then play a more fluent foward passing game. Any ideas on who we could get as the second striker ? Henry suggested Kevin Phillips. I still think that was a good shout.

It did not look good when he went off. He was helped off the pitch with the aid of two of the medical staff. Dear God I hope he is fit to play and that Jose is playing up the damage to keep SlurAlix guessing. No Mikel would be a massive loss.

Have to say I felt you guys were pretty quiet the other night against Man U. It seemed to be all down to the MHL to provide the atmosphere. I'm gonna be able to give you some help next season as I have actually decided to relocate my season ticket from the MHL to the Shed Upper. The club/fan's forum effort to provide a more hardcore, vocal support in the Shed has greatly influenced this decision. Plus, (having sat all round the ground at one point or another), the view from the front of the upper tier is second to none. Has anyone else choosen to relocate their ST's up there ?

I frightens me how much I have grown to hate Poll. I've known he was buffoon probably longer than anyone else on here, he started his refeering career in our local leagues. IMO the only ones who come close to him in terms of incompetence/bias are the 'ileys. Mike R and Alan W.

A centre back and a top quality striker, (which will leave Sheva purely as a back-up). Also the people who are demanding Paulo Ferreria as our regular right back but are also calling for us to play a more expansive, attacking game are contradicting themselves in the space of a sentence. He can defend alright but hasn't got a clue when he gets in the opposition's half. He looks like Phil Neville taught him how to dribble and Jesper Gronkjaer taught him how to cross!

Drogba's against Liverpool or Drogba's against Everton. Probably Drogba's against Liverpool. Drogba's against United at Wembley has to be considered as well.

Not starting the season with a new, top quality, in-his-prime striker to help carry the load with Drogba, will seriously hamper our chances next year. Sinclair/Sahar and Shevchenko are OK as back-ups. But it's not wise to pin your hopes on inexperienced, hungry young-kids and ageing, past-their-best superstars. Especially when we are going to lose Drogba to the ACN.

Well season is nearly over and the result is due soon. Who did you go for? 31 goal Didier Drogba, (Henry and G4's vote), or our engine Michael Essien ?
