I thought we'd both argued for Mikel to be tried in that role? The kid is quality. Move him higher up the pitch, where his quick feet, touch and passing can really do damage, and we'll see a superstar.

Firstly let me deal with Henry and his snide reference to JFH. You really can't do humour can you? Drogba could not have scored that many goals if we were "dire in attack". One player + 32 goals = dire in attack ? Not when I went to school it didn't. And yet, let's look at it your way for a moment. If we are so dire going forward and attacking the opposition then Drogba must have done magnificently to get those many goals in those circumstances. So let's see you Henry, (just for once mind), publically give Drogba the credit he deserves because I've never heard you say one good word about the bloke. And as Brian M will tell you, at least I used to give Jimmy credit for being a consistent goal-scorer. Now G4. 1. "Are we good going forward?" Not as often as I would like but we are capable of it. As shown by our recent displays at the Library and in Valencia. 2. "Do we play good football". See answer 1 above. I would also like to add that I don't buy the media hype about ManU playing gung-ho, attacking football every week. Against us at their place they scored a goal and then shut up shop. This invited us forward and back into the game. Which, I have to say, we did rather well. Against Le Arse at the Library they had one striker up front, a 5-man midfield, and Rooney deployed wide on the left. And then at Wembley the other week they didn't exactly go at us hell for leather did they? In fact Graham Taylor assessed it perfectly the day after on the BBC website. He said United generally only go for it against inferior opposition or when a match situation demands it. They do not do it everyweek. Against teams on their level or better, they play an entirely different game. And then of course they have had Ronaldo in sparkling form for most of the season. You say one player doesn't make that much difference. Well then you tell me. If he had been out injured all year would they have been so entertaining/attacking? 3. "has our football got better as time has passed?" See all the answers above and my original point about lack of wide players.

You simply cannot overlook the lack of wide players/wingers this term. Joe Cole missed 80% of the campaign, and G4 seems to dismiss his contribution too lightly. Cole was arguably the major highlight of the previous season and the one player capable of giving us creativity and invention on any kind of regular basis. Add to that SWP who despite one or two decent showings, (mostly in a more central role), has again disappointed. And then there's Arjen Robben. We are more likely to get a full season's football out of Prof. Steven Hawking than we are our from dutch flyer. And when he does play, his lack of consistency means you never know if he's gonna be the MOTM or a spectator for 90 minutes. Of course that's assuming he lasts the 90 minutes! I also liked Henry's "dire in attack" comment. For me that doesn't quite tally with having a striker who scored 32 goals. And none of them penalties.

And Zola. Whenever he had to mark Zola, Franco always made him his bitch for the day. That famous clip where "Dignity" Carragher and half the Liverplod defence are trying to get the ball off God, in an area the size of a phonebox, is still one of the funniest things I have ever seen at football. I am grateful for what he did and he was never anything less than respectful and caring of the club and us the fans. He was/is a "good" manager/team builder, but never in the top league alongside the Capellos Lippis Mourinhos Fergusons. He's not even close. IMO it was right for him to go and here's two reasons why: Players lost belief in him and his methods. He totally lost the dressing room after Monaco. PS: For the benefit of the people who have watched it fly over their heads, Liam and G4 are doing irony.

If he's happy in that position I wouldn't mind seeing Diarra continue in that role. For the vast majority of the games he played there he looked to me like he had the makings of a very, very good right back. He certainly gave us a whole lot more going forward than PF ever has.

I have never been to Russia and would love to go. If it was to see the Mighty Blues in the CL final so much the better. Looking at the picture though, with the running track and all, the seating seems a long, long way from the pitch.

And as for the comment that Rafa got the style of play right, the phrase, "you're havin a laugh" springs to mind. Worst moment of the season?? Walking out of Anfield after the penalty shoot out and seeing the c*nts celebrating. Quite possibly my lowest point ever at football. Well todays the day that the mousers hopefully, (please God), end their season with exactly what they deserve................... nothing. I have no alligence to any other team except Chelsea, but have always had a soft spot for AC Milan since the days of Gullit, Van Basten, Rijkaard, Baresi etc. They truly were a fantastic team. The San Siro is also the best ground I have been to on my travels and the Milan fans made us very welcome. The Mickeys, (and the British media), think waving scarves over their heads and singing YNWA equals the greatest spectacle in world football, but the reception the Milan ultras gave to Marcel Desailly on his return was different gravy. The word "awesome" hardly does it justice. I was also at the CL final at Old Trafford when AC beat Juve on penalties and their fans put on a spectacular show there as well. I'd take any victory for Milan, but if they could totally humilate Fat Rafa and the Mickeys I'd be the happiest boy alive. The idea of the scouse fans travelling all that way, and spending all that money to suffer the heartbreak of an embarassing, one-sided defeat fills me with joy. Forza Milan.

Wayne Rooney. He would be the perfect partner for Drogba, and he is only going to get better.

I wanted to see it again because from where I was sitting in the stadium at the time I thought Robben jumped over Brown as he slid in. Brown was quite rightly booked because the challenge was late and dangerous. But did he actually make contact with Robben? I'm still not sure he did having watched that clip.
