Leicester have MADE History
I wonder how Leicester fans must be feeling about their position now? Are they just happy to be up there and consider it a bonus if they win the league or are they totally all out for the kill now and banking on a title win. I really want them to do it but I just have this horrible feeling that they are going to blow it. I have visions of Ranieri and Monaco 2004.

Antonio Conte - Now Officially Manager
I have not watched italian football since the channel 4 days is he any good?

Thibaut Courtois
I feel its as if hes let his standards drop because he does not have a great defence or even a better defence to help him. I take back nothing I said about cechs quality, he really was the real deal. But courtois does not have anyone to put the fear of christ into him. Cech had a defence made up of some of the ugliest and meanest defenders in europe at the time. That early version of JT was a totally different animal to what you see now too.

Thibaut Courtois
A young petr cech had the talent to save the team on his own and this makes a massive difference. A young petr cech before the injury was on par with if not better than de gea. I had the pleasure of watching him up close for a couple of years and his early performances where unbelievable and you would often enjoy rival teams taking shots just to see him make the saves. For a big man who is heavy built he was extremely quick. The only time I had ever seen him truly beaten was ronaldinho at the bridge and that goal was freak of nature. I would argue that if he never had that injury he would have gone on to be a better goal keeper than peter schmeichel. He still went on to make one of the finest displays in the history of the champions league and for that I will always love him. Courtois is good and potentially world class but this season everyone has been poor. I would be more worried for him if the team has been good and he had been this bad but really it is more of a collective responsibility right now.

Although not a glamourous bunch I do share your view

Welcome Pato
That is just incredibly incompentent. That is enough money to buy a ballon d'or winner.

Welcome Pato
Says a lot when an organisation rimmed with massively paid professionals knew less about the player’s ability then a fan forum whose knowledge of the player had been built up on YouTube videos.

Jose Mourinho thread
He looked fine jumping up and down up at Anfield in 2014 and he never threw any medals in the crowed. That’s just the way he is hot and cold its nothing personal, he loved us. You could see how much it meant to him when he had the pressures of the world on his shoulders and we were still singing his name.

Who the f**k is Emenalo
I reckon emenalo thinks romans gonna do a willy wonka and take him up in the elevator. He’s been here for nearly 10 years and in that time he’s seen some of the finest managers in the history of Chelsea come and go. He is a snake.

The John Obi Mikel Goal Scoring Thread
If Conte gets rid of him then I hope Conte is ready for the stick he’s going to get from every ball boy in the country who is going to end up redundant. Mikel has an important role in grass roots football, he is an important and probably an even more successful resource than our youth academy. Barca have la maisa academy, united have the class of 92 and we have the Mikel Upper Shed. Well done Mikel.

Jose Mourinho thread
Another one that gets thrown around is this theory that Jose got rid of De Bruyne, Lukaku, Schurrle, Luiz, Cech and Juan Mata. The facts are during the 2014-15 title winning season these players where not good enough for the first team. However rather than improve themselves at the club and under Jose’s tutelage they choose to leave for lesser and or developing sides in Europe where they would be given first team opportunity’s. These players chose to leave and fair play to them they have been successful but if they had stayed for another season jose would have had the option to use these players and rotate the current squad a lot more rather than the team end up in a floundering position. The only option he had was youth team players and we were in crisis and the pressure would have likely affected them. He was not given money in the summer and only brought in small purchases like Falcao, a Reading player and an unknown French league player and a last minute panic buy from the club for Pedro. When the club started making bids for players it was too late in the window and the bids for these players never came off which is neither surprising or the ambitions of a championship winning club. He had the misfortune of experienced leaders like Cole, Lampard and Terry coming to an end of their careers and it is debateable that these players could may have been given new short term contracts by the club to lessen the negative effects of a transistion. They did not get new deals and no one of similar quality has come in to replace them. He had to bring Didier Drogba in on the cheap to give the team some experience which any of those 3 mentioned above could have done. They would have all still have had the fitness to contribute on the field too. Where did the money go from all these player sales, commercial deals and trophy prizes? Is Roman strapped nowadays too then? Jose will continue to be one of the game’s elite managers that I am sure of.

I never said that.

Ibra was true, would you take Zlatan?
He may be 35 but remember next season we will not be playing at the highest level. This is the type of one off transfer signing we need. If the quality of his football is declining, then his presence alone would still be highly beneficial to our squad. The man is a real leader and would certainly sort out the flakers in the team. Failing that offer him the 10mil a year salary for him and costa to have it out at Stamford bridge. That would do Mayweather Pacquiao numbers.
-
Thibaut Courtois
Nonsense. Have you ever played football and been in goal and had players running and shooting at you for the full 90 minutes, its hard and your confidence drops. schmeichel, kahn, cech, seaman, casillas all had the luxury of having world class defences in front of them. A poor defence and a world class goalkeeper will not work.

Diego "the guv'nor" Costa
But that was insane too and at the time reflected as bad on the club as anything diego has ever done. I want diego to stay and I do not want to compare him with drogba because for me drogba is in the top 3 most important players in the history of chelsea but there have been times when drogba has let himself and the club down but he went on to more than make up for it and that is why I am giving diego some slack because at his best he does have the quality to turn it around and at the moment he is our best player.

Jose Mourinho thread
But how was it jose that turned them into relegation fodder? Jose made them champions. Surely it is up to the players to continue playing like champions. What more could he have done? He played the same title winning team as last season. His hands were tied. He was not backed in the summer which is evident with the mediocre players we signed. He did not just suddenly turn up for training one day and say nah your champions now I can’t be assed to train you. The players we’ve got now won’t play for hiddink, some did not play for di matteo and then only started to play again when the waiter came in at the business end of the season.

Random Rumours
Rather we signed a 23 year old ricky carvalho- just what we need. This thread use to be so exiciting filled with all exotic names, where are the next generation of superstars?

Diego "the guv'nor" Costa
Slapping vidic in the champions league final of all games. Effing and blinding on live TV against barca. Mate drogs has not been a saint but we grew to love him.
-
Jose Mourinho thread
I am not kidding myself. He had just signed a multi-million-pound contract. He was the most loved and successful manager in the history of chelsea. It is now highly likely that he will join another premiership club which will make them more successful and as fans we will have to watch this and it will hurt. The same thing happened to jose what happened to carlo, we have success then the board lets the team stagnate. It also happened in 2006 too.
-
Diego "the guv'nor" Costa
Yeah I know but although not a malicious player our own drogs was a dick in his early chelsea career too. He was one of the worse divers and biggest wingers in the premier league for the first 18 months until JT, Lampard etc ironed out the wrinkles. Costa can be tamed if we have a core of players big enough to show him the way.

Jose Mourinho thread
Jose is licking his wounds and knowing the man he is going to come back like a roaring blaze. Hes a born winner. The saddest thing is when he left for inter and his time at real his heart still belonged to us but this time he will want to destroy us at every opportunity. I don't think he was the same manager he was with us in 04-07 and I think he peaked around 2010 but he is still one of the best around and I think the club should of kept him until the end of the season and let him clear out the rotten apples then he could start again.

Arturo Vidal
tbf I would of done that too if had of just earthed up 10lb of turf.

Diego "the guv'nor" Costa
I would keep him for as long as he wants to stay. Maybe if some of the other players shared the responsibility of having a backbone then he wouldn't be so eager to unleash anarchy. He must be frustrated as f**k playing with so many gutless pansies who aint up for it. He’s too eager and doing it for everyone. This guy would not have been half the menace if he was playing with a young JT, Carvalho, Lamps, Ballack, all players that played with passion which none of the current squad have.
