A combination, I imagine. Nonetheless, managing to fight off every other big club to sign one of the most promising young attacking midfielders in the game is certainly an achievement. He said himself that we had a fight on our hands to convince him to sign:

I have been critical of the board in the past for their hiring and firing and failing to front up to the cameras.
