We are not desperate for a trophy and we are fortunate that in the last 5 years our club have won everything. We have established ourselves as a massive name in world football. We have recently signed a huge sponsorship deal and the plans for our new stadium proves our club still have the ambition to move forward. Without the champions league we will not be an attraction for the biggest names like Pogba, Cavani and Neymar ect, but if the club is clever this is now the perfect opportunity to rebuild and unearth some real talented players who otherwise wouldn’t get the opportunities at Barca, Real, Bayern and PSG. We will also have the opportunity to sell all the underperforming and so called world class players we have and these players still have a high value in the current market. If Conte does come in hopefully he creates a world class defence like we and the Italians are both renowned for. If we make the Europa league, those long distant trips to countries we have never heard of may not be glamourous but as our team from the mid to late 90’s proved these games are brilliant for building team spirit and building the foundations of a new team. We will be ok chin up, but let’s get rid of the sh*t first. Not naming any names we all know who they are.

I would swap any of our players for Verratti. If Conte comes in then I would like to think verratti may find us appealing.

Cech was and still is a better goalkeeper than courtois. I would of sold courtois off, kept Cech as no1 and bought begovic as number 2. Cech would of stayed if we finished outside of the top 4 as well.

The top 4 clubs don't stock pile world class players anymore like we did in the early abramovic days and like what city did in the early days. A lot of players get paid nearly as much money to go and play for a mid table club and play regularly. This is more appealing than going to a top 4 team and risking ending up in the wilderness.

Great player on his day but I doubt he would last long at Madrid, he's not greedy enough. Annoying thing is he will possibly leave at the end of the season but for probably less money than what he would have sold for last year.

I don’t think we will ever get to the bottom of what went wrong. The first time he was here he was funny and appeared happy the second time he was here despite claiming to be the happy one he was anything but, he was moody, bitter and reserved. Even if he was still in charge and we were top of the league I could imagine the new contract he signed would not kept him here, he would have found a way out. He sh*ts and stomps in it wherever he goes. Van gaal will leave utd in a similar situation to what Jose left us in but the difference is utd are going to give him tonnes of cash but whether or not players are going to want to go there without champions league football is anyones guess.

There is not one stand out candidate for the job. Simeone has a good record in spain but he is more nutty than mourinho so he won't last. Sampaoli is not good enough. I feel we are all going to be underwhelmed.
