lesblues got a reaction from All Barco no bite in Jose Mourinho threadMate just join him at City or Utd then and enjoy the domination. Its Club over everyone/everything else. -
lesblues reacted to kiwi1691 in Random RumoursThey may need the money if Roma are going to build that new stadium

lesblues reacted to kiwi1691 in Random RumoursSo the club should sack someone because the media links Chelsea with transfers, even though the majority of rumours never happen.

lesblues reacted to startedwithglenn in Random RumoursWith no CL football and other areas of the squad that need prioritising, I think Pelle from Southampton would be a really strong 2nd striker.
He knows the PL, he knows Conte and is about to enter the last year of his contract, meaning he could probably be got for not much more than what Remy will fetch.
I'm a big fan of Traore but i wouldn't rely on him as our 2nd option just yet, plus he is flexible enough to play in several positions so can still be given plenty of game time.

lesblues got a reaction from Krc-fan in Thibaut CourtoisJust like Tibo was when he was his age, everyone who watched Tibo's youtube compilation at Genk knew he would develop into a top GK. Still willing to pretend this season never happened and look forward to next season,I believe he would be back to his best next season but of course if he pushes for a move come summer then fleece whosoever wants him for as much as possible. -
lesblues reacted to RMCM in Random RumoursHe has nothing to prove, except that we made a huge mistake getting rid of him, I'd take him back in a heartbeat, he was a chelsea fan as a youngster, could give us a bit of character

lesblues reacted to Beerqueen in Arturo VidalOh Dicky I remember having that argument a couple of years ago with someone and they said "we'll see". They just didn't get "literally no chance".

lesblues reacted to g3.7 in Jose Mourinho threadfair play you've given it a go. I'll leave aside the stuff about the club needing to evaluate itself and have a good window as I think we can agree that is absolutely indisputable and even if we are in a period of success those things remain true. I'll also ignore (not out of impoliteness) the stuff about what is 'enough' for the players to play well because I think that is a tangent that is too wide ranging for us to pursue (here).
what I'd ask then is that given how stark things had got (in terms of results, attitude of the players, the attitude of and public criticisms from jose, player performances) how can you feel we'd do pretty much the same?
my reading is that the relationship between jose and the staff had gone far beyond the point where it would be repairable. I mean- we didn't once play three league games in a row without losing and since he left we've lost none. I think that points to the severity of the relationship breakdown. there was literally no improvement after the board gave him that vote of confidence so I struggle to see how, without anything changing, we'd suddenly change for the better? our form since he left is fourth best in the league (we're 15 points above the bottom 3) and our form with him had us 16th best in the league (1 point above the bottom 3).
I think we'd have remained an absolute shambles and ultimately we'd only start to extricate ourselves from the relegation battle around now. to clarify I think jose is a great manager and he may well go to man united and win the league. but whoever is to blame, I don't think he was ever going to recover here without a near total (i.e. practically and financially impossible) overhaul of the playing staff (at least) and even then that would be no guarantee.
now if your reading IS NOT that there was a large breakdown of relationship, or that if there was it was only with one or two players, or that our issues stemmed from injuries to people like costa and courtois then while I would think this reading was informed by delusion or self deception I could understand you saying that we'd be roughly where we are now. but if you do accept that there was a large scale disconnect then as I say, how do you think things would change without things being changed?
I certainly don't think the relationship was broken by us not signing well enough nor do I think that if we kept jose and signed well in the summer that would make them happy with him (or quite possibly him with them).

The soulless part makes me sick! If we are soulless, then every other big club in the Premier League is soulless too.

lesblues reacted to darthvader in Random RumoursIs Pjanic do not have hes own thread ? Well tha is strange because Conte loves him , also Blanc loves him and Guardiola. But I think he respect Conte a lot. We are like talking with him according to English and Italian media. I don t know how much people watch seria A , but Roma right now is Pjanic. If Roma had better fullbacks ( they are awful in those positions and to many oldtimers that team still is depend upon , like slow Keita , De Rossi is no nearly what hes bean , Totti is legend and all admire him , but come on man 40 years midfilder, Macion stiil best fullback hey have and he can run like 30 minutes). All this is to point out how hard is to be good in team who have a lot average players because u must play with sombody. I think he and Radja but mosly Pjanic who had in like 20 app 11 goals and 10 assist( only 3 players have better stats then him ). Hes having great season and have expirience and a lot big games and hes only 25 , hes best is yet to come . He has fether touch , hes dead ball specialist maybe best curently in Europe , he creates 2,3 key pass per match, not even defensivly week and hes worker , always in top 3 in running and touches. One thing ha is weeknes is hes easy on yellow cards. I would love Radja and Pjanic to buy us duo because they work so well and give them players of their quality they will give us master central posession .I think for money Roma ask hes bargin

lesblues got a reaction from Zola in Jose Mourinho threadNo you aren't fairly sure. Me, you and like every other tom, dick and harry only read stories and whatever little the persons involve say. Jose rejected the utd job? Utd rejected Jose?, very sure many don't know the true story. -
lesblues reacted to kennypaul in Jose Mourinho threadWhen he left the first time I was gutted. The second time not really, I felt it was kind of inevitable. i also think there is enough culpability for all sides to accept. Still I dont feel too sorry for someone who is a multi millionare and who financially doesn't need to work again.

lesblues reacted to Backbiter in The John Terry Appreciation ThreadWell, rugby's disciplinary committee ignored their own regulations which state:
This was their decision today:
I wonder if the sports minister will now get involved like he did with the JT case.
Oh, and the same player did this in the same game:
https://vine.co/v/iH3M5LViB0x
He was cited for violent conduct but the committee have let him off with no punishment.
So you can now smash someone in the face with a forearm, make a racial slur, get captured on film doing both, but you'll be let off.
Impressive.

lesblues reacted to Nibs in Jose Mourinho threadSorry, but that's how it came across to me.
Not having a pop at you or anyone really and I know there are some folk that will never be able to bring themselves to criticise Mourinho.
Like many I WAS a massive fan, but not anymore. Sorry, but if he was as good as he thought he was and as we all thought he was, and he was paid an absolutely massive salary because of that, then it shouldn't have ended like it did. He might not have been 100% to blame for everything, but he was central to everything and when you are as good a coach as Mourinho, there is no way it should have gone the way it did.

Ok then. I know I'm a fish but gimme a break. You didn't put any effort into this baiting, did you?. Really weak, I'm disappointed. Try harder mate next time and who knows I might fully indulge you. Nice word processing skills with that post over the weekend.

lesblues reacted to RMCM in Eden Hazard - Chelsea LegendI agree on the 4-2-3-1 point, I'd like to see us move to either a 4-3-3 or try something like a 4-4-1-1 diamond with James playing as a second striker, slightly deeper off Costa. In his time at Monaco and Porto though he did spend a fair bit of time playing on the left and right wing, he does have the pace for it anyway, but I probably agree that he's more of a 10 than a winger these days

lesblues got a reaction from Krc-fan in Thibaut CourtoisBy what happens in France, I'm assuming you meant the euros, well I think Belgium will have a decent campaign but might fall short of expectations (managerial shortcomings?) but defensively Tibo with Kompany, Vertogen, Toby (Aldewierld?) ahead of him will have a good run out as I think that's better than what we have presently. As for Eden, I have no idea.I think Chelsea will have a fantastic campaign next given all is put right this summer. I don't agree with some who think the situation is dire than it seems, we could use some player injections but I don't believe a clear-out and buying 7/8 players would be sensible. And please no more 4231, the system is very dependent on fast breaks and counter attacks. There's this air of a return of the 442 system, Fergie annoyed the sh*t out of me with it, I wouldn't oppose it or the 433 system.
I think this is sorted out. Conte if rumors are believed is our man ( excellent acquisition I believe) as Mr Guus as ruled himself out for a while. Credit to him as he seems to have lost some touch ( surprisingly a poor job he did with Holland). Maybe he's been looking forward to taking the missus to Bora Bora for some quality time. Grateful to him for keeping us safe and I hope we find a position for him 'upstairs' when he's available.
With utmost conviction, I see us clinching a top four spot next season.
Who will leave? Falcao, Pato (being obvious here). Who I want to leave? Oscar, Mikel, Remy, Cuadrado.

lesblues reacted to JMaher94 in Antonio Conte - Now Officially ManagerWe are getting a good manager everyone.
He took Juventus side from 7th position who had no direction to unbeaten champions the following season and followed that up with two league titles.
His only problem has been in Europe however he will adapt.
