  1. THe last kit I bought was the last one we had when sponsored by Emirates, and I gave that away, so the last one I own is the season before that, and the white away kit with the blue stripe down the middle. Think I am wearing it in my profile photo. Don't HAVE to have a shirt every season to show you support the club, in my mind. ANd my favourite is still my old Coors one anyway!
  2. just on us to win!!! Of course

I think that there is too much buzz about him leaving for him not to be on his way now. If he goes, then I will not be upset either, he is a great palyer on his day, but too often those "days" came against lesser opponents. Too often, in large games, he was seen missing and went down far too easily. All these people who are talking about being "annoyed if he goes to real and has a blinder" Iwould say to them; wuold you be upset if he went to Real and had a stinker spending most his time sulking on the sidelines, and constantly in the physio's room? I wouldn't, and to me there is a strong possibility that if he stayed here he would do exactly that. HE has been a good player, but he has also been an inconsistant player too. IF we can cash in on him, and relpace him with someone less lightweight and more reliable then I am all for it. I don't know much of Drenthe, but if he can play the wing, is 3 years younger and promising, then why not take him. Or why not Pato? We are hardly taking a huge risk when these guys look to be great prospects. I think Robben was a prospect when we signed him? Thanks for some of the games Robben, if you go, have fun in the Real physio room. If you stay, you better not dive and whinge your way through half a season again Scott Just, guess you can officially take me on board too. Was only having starters, but I;ll have all three courses and but the after dinner Port too!
  4. Now, how can the press hate us when we are now doing such things to bring footy to "the kids?" I just hope there isn't some BS clause where one of our top players has to go to Florida during a cruical time of our season Scott
  5. 6 in the evening on the 21st for US then...great, should be done with work and a couple beers deep by then!!
  6. Well, tonights game went ahead, and I think ESPN are still planning on showing the Glaxy game. ANyone know what time that is at, as i couldn't find anything on the official site
  7. Yip, Johno as CB in the 1st half, then Carvs and TBH in the 2nd. Sam hutchinson as LB in the 1st too with Paulo at RB. In 2nd half Diarra at RB and Paulo at LB, who was subsequently subbed for Sinclair? I think, and don't know how we shaped up after that. I also think Diarra at RB is not a valid option, but he is an option nonetheless as he offers great tackling and attacking down the wings

Well we ahve been lnked with Drenthe, but then it seemed Real were buying him. Now RObben is off and we get Drenthe. I don't know much of Drenthe other than he is you,g Duth, left sided, winger and set the U21's on fire....sounds familiar. However, I feel 7 mill for RObben is a joke, and if he and his father were at all business savvy they would stay at Chelsea as that is more lucrative
  9. I think Paulo played well but was skinned a couple of times by a tricky little winger. He needs more games, and was switched over to LB, but he did look a little shaky at RB but otherwise a pretty solid performance, with some good give and go's. I just don't think he is as comfortable at going forward as say, Diarra is. So, to many people they fail to notice his contribution. However, I don't think there should be a question about who should play RB when all are fit. However, if we are looking for and attacking RB then Diarra looks better each game
  10. Pizarro is only getting back from the Copa America, and I don't know if he will join the team in Feyenoord or Glasgow. Anyway, after seeing these two performances, and looking at how good Essien and Mikel are. Can I suggest that we wouldn't miss Lamps all that much?
  11. Kalou did look dangerous, and yes Sidwell looked pointless
  12. well, so far we have looked dangerous, drogs with an early chance. However, Diarra is passing well, and attacking well too. If we need an attacking RB then we don't need Alves we have DIarra
  13. Diarra at RB??? Then TBH and Carvs in the Mid with PF on the left, or TBH out on the left with Carvs and PF in the middle?
  14. I felt young sam Hutch put in a decent performance, and Kalou terrorized their left side. Also, Paulo was good, and his pasing and vision was good too
  15. got it now...anyone in match chat?
  16. can;t find it on guangdong..anyone in the match day chat room?

I think Joe Cole might have a thing or two to say about that statement
  18. http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hli ... &channel=& As reported in Sky Sports too. However, the worrying thing at the end is when he says "if another offer comes in and I feel I am not being taken care of, I quit" Not exactly what you want to hear, especially when your boss is going on about how great you are doing!
  19. There is no denying that his vision and distribution are top nothc, so hopefully with more wide men he will have greater success due to thegreater number of options available to him SCott

Good goal, I am not denying that the lad has talent, but that was a couple of seasons ago, and to be honest, he really is few and far between in his ability to score goals, or put in solid, consistant performances like those he did when he first joined us. I am merely making the point that IF we got a substantial offer, when he doesn't really seem to bothered about playing for us, then let him go
  21. anyone know why the rest of the US tour has been postponed?
  22. It says that we still have Hilario and hedman,. It also lists Sidwell as an attacking mid, and not Robben or Joe Cole. Also, didn't we release Morais? Or at least sell him? It also lists that we have Johno, but would they do this regardless as he is technically on loan? Confusing, isn't it

keep sheva, as he provides more,a nd seems to have a better temprament than Tevez. Plus, I too think that he is better suited to our system. Okay, he didnt have a great season last year, but he certainly is a presence and he will draw attention to defenders, thus freeing up space for others to run into. I remember watching Tevez at the World CUp, adn I thought he ran around a lot with his head down. He is a talent, don't get me wrong, but we have others similar to him, and I don't think he suits our system as much

I will certainly join you for the starters. I am really not that bothered if he went because if he wants to go, then let him. If he wants to stay, let him. But if he stays when he would rather be in Madrid, then I think that is a huge mistake. Just imagine how innefectual he would be when he's not totally committed. I think any knock to him and he would be clutching his ankle looking at the bench pleadingly. I do think he is a great player, attacking wise, when he is on form, but personally I think his form is far to sporadic. Also, if they were to offer over 20 mill for him, I say take it. We would then maybe see more of Malouda and Joey Cole, which I don;t think is a bad thing
