Just like the Jarosik, Tiago, Boulahrouz signings have all proven to be so succesfull. I am sure they sat around and thought about those too, but they certainly never panned out to be great, worthwhile signings! Got to a bar with some work colleagues, and they were showing highlights. Cheered and sang like I was there, and just got a few looks, and laughs from people in the bar, and from those at my table!!! I agree totally with G4, if we had goen for a midfielder should have gone for a Deco type player to play at teh ehad of the diamond. Sidwell may be in the reserves for a while as this signing makes no sense at all. I don't buy into the mentality of "get him because he is English" I buy into the mentality of get him because he fits our team/ style of play/brings something to the pitch no one else does. And Sidwell doesn't tick any of those boxes for me

I liked arteta at the gers too, but I think if he were to leave he may head back to spain. PLus, anyone else see the SWP syndrome with him, or is it just me? That is, he stood out as a good player in a decent team

I fully expect us to keep Diarra, and ahve his as back up to maka, bleeding him in for next season. Also to have him as alternate RB. I think if Diarra were asked to go on loan after getting regular first team play, he may be afronted and ask to eb transfered. I don't think Sidwell is a necessity, but not a bad back up player

scott, just to say i agree with everything you have said. Although i was on here for a wind up, i never intended this and i think Lofty seems like a pretty good bloke who has given me plenty but always in the right spirit (aside from a couple of misunderstandings). I expected a few of you to tell me to piss off, but hoped i had made enough of a cushion for myself. I would like to apologise to Lofty for getting him sucked into this mess and eventually getting himself banned. this was never my intention, having a little wind up was. thats all i can say really. Ok, I see Lofty has been banned; but here are my two cents on the matter. Not taking sides of anyone I feel that this whole thing started from a post by a Liverpool fan! He came on here looking for a wind up, and got one. Unfortunatley, his wind up got two decent blokes, and regulars arguing amongst themselves. Now, Liverpool have just put us out the CL, the one we all want to win, the one we have been so close too, and for two seasons in a row now have been put out by Liverpool. Emotions will run deep about them being in the CL, and some will have exceptions to AC being in. I don't. However, again, Liverpool put us out two years in a row, both times I feel we played some great football, but failed to capitalize, and we suffered because of it! So, to come onto a Chelsea site talking about comming and supporting the team that just put you out, again, is certainly going to rub people the wrong way (Lofty), and especially when a Chelsea fan (G4) seems to stick up for the opposition. I can tell Lofty has been a Chelsea fan for a while, G4 I think you merely jest about supporting us only since Jose arrived. I also feel that you both have good things to say about Football and Chelsea in general. However, to have two members suddenly start ganging up is not right either. We all come on here to vent our frustrations, and share our oppinions, not to attack each other. I would rather a reconciliation between all parties as opposed to anyone being banned.
