I think that we also need to think about the strength and stamina of our team also. It is all fair and well to say that Manu will be tired, but they are competing in a schedule exactly the same as ours. my first real heartbreak as a Chelse fan was that final, been a few since then, but as rod Stewart sang "the first cut is the deepest!" I only hope we don't have a ref who is so blatantly on the take as last time! I also think it is amazing that we could be the team to win the last FA cup final in the old Wembley and the first team to win in teh new Wembley. the only problem I forsee with bringing a striker in n January is...they will need to hit the ground running, fast! It is all well and good giving lads like Scott Sinclair and ben Sahar a chance, but if they don't produce, who say that bringin in an experienced striker, to a foreign team and a foreign league would bring about any better results than actually making a go for SS and BS? Eto'o...undoubtably one of the best strikers out there when fit. But not likely to come to the bridge, would cause upset, and would be gone for the ACN anyway Zlatan....well, had to expect that name in a Brian M post, but a whinging little brat that has never really produced Saviolla...not doing bad at barca, so could be a choice Villa...certainly worth a look, but may cost too much, also a lot of hype surrounding him in the press any one of the useless English strikers out there that would merely warm our bench; what's the point. Crespo.... I would take him back in a minute. It was his wife the didn't like London, and he didn't like being away from his wife, but I seem to recall the club stating that they would accomodate him as much as possible. I think we could get a year out of him easily....or bring Mutu back!

Kahlid is a bit of an enigma, as most our recent Dutch signings have been. Plays for the national side, we get him when we were not really linked with him, comes in, looks good, plays a blinder against barca, and then gets injured. He certainly showed signs of promise, and he is a decent back up defender ( in the geremi role) but will he settle for merely being back up, and will Jose have plans for him in the future...I hope so, he really hasn't been given a chance here at the bridge, yet!

Shame for Duffer, he really was a grat guy and player while here at the Bridge. His performances were never the same after his injury, and it does look like we sold him at the right time. Loved his goal against barca at the bridge, you could see how much it meant to him to score Scott

I can't help but feel JT and Jose will stay, but we may see Frank leave. I have no solid ground to base this on, merely a hunch. Anyway, I don't see the problem with offering JT parity with Ballack and Sheva, it is what he deserves. A 9 year contract though is a bit much, what would he be then, 35 or 36?
