However, to look at what he has said; that he came to Chelsea to win titles, mainly the CL because he didn't feel bayern had a chance to do that. And look at his scoring record in the Bundesleiga and the CL, I don't think it is a bad signing for nothing! He sat in the wings patiently while we had Ed De Goey, adn then when his chance cmae, he was brilliant. I will miss Carlo if he leaves, but I would much rather see him elsewhere continuing to ply his trade than sitting on our bench only playing very occassionally. He gave everything to our club....even after ust seeing Cech knocked out. I was gutted he didn't get a winner's medal with us for the EPl. I would have loved to see him fully enjoy the celebrations of getting a medal when repeating the League. Forza Carlo PS. Have to go with Loz and a couple others here and say I was excited about Laudrup too, especially having seen him up at the Gers so much. Also then rates as one of the biggets dissapointments for me as a palyer Also have to admitt that I didn't know too much of Zola before we got him, couple times maybe seen him on C4 So for me Vialli (loved him at Juve and couldn't wait for him at Chelsea) Desailly (knew we were getting a top defender, and thought he and beefy would be "pretty good") Deschamps (thought he would fit in really nicely Gullit (even had posters with him at other clubs) Guddy (looked pretty promising) I know that a lot of these are recent ones, but that is really all my memory allows me to go back to. I remeber watching Chelsea in the 93-94 season, but never really kept up with the commings and goings (living so far away) just liked seeing the team when they started. Another outsider has to be Joe Cole, so much talent and flair, adn we did pretty well with our last export from Wast Spam Scott

I really dont see us selling ballack, nor do I want us to. As Pauly siad, you don't just become cr@p overnight. I also think that with Essien and Mikel off to the ACN then we will need Ballack more then ever. I also question as to why no one has mentioned Joe Cole to play at the head of the diamond. He always said that he loved to play in behind the strikers, and I think he may be our best option to do so. Most of the season I expect to see. With the 4 picking itself during the ACN .....................................maka/essien ....................ballack/essien...................Lamps/Ballck ..................................Joe Cole/ Obi Mikel Sidwell can get a few games in the rezzies, a few cup games and maybe a couple of run ins in the league. Also, If we do play this system, and Drogs is off to teh ACN, then that means Sheva must stay, and we must sign one other striker. I think that is where we need to concentrate the most, as in the pivotal time of the league when the ACN takes place, we can't rely on the likes of Sinclair and Sahar to come in Scott

Agree totally about the rezzies....give them a run in there, and then get a full assesment, rather than throwing them back into the CL or the EPL and hoping the do alright!

I am with Loz and BJD and many others on here, yes maybe he does have "Noddy looks" and runs like a nonce, but technically he is a very sound RB. His tackling and positioning have gotten better the more he has been with us, and then this season we hardly saw him at all!!! I was always puzzled by this. I wondered if he and Jose had a falling out, or what? Anyway, he's given a few games at the end of the season, and he performs great, better in each one. I say that if we play a 4-3-3 where we need a good defender, then PF is our man. However, if we play the diamond, then we need wing backs, and then GJ (if he comes back) or Diarra (even essien, but I would much rather have him in the midfield) would fill that role quite nicely. I dont know what Jose's plans are for him, but I for one hope he stays around. He never seems to amke too much fuss about being on the bench, and he performs well when he plays. I vote for Paulo Scott PS, I would also go for Alaves if we were to get rid of Paulo
