  1. ............................Cech Paulo..............Percy....JT.......A Cole .........................Mikel ............Lamps............Essien .......................J Cole ..............Sheva...........Drogs However, this all depends on the opposition Scott
  2. These are both going to be very hard games. Lose them both and I think there will be MASSIVE calls for Jose to leave (from the press). Win one and lose the other, and there will be no huge dilemma, especially if we were to lose to BBurn then come back with a win against Man U, then that would be alright. As you say, Liverpool will be in for a couple of tough games. Pompey gave us a good run, as did Brum, so lets hope they give the scum a run for their money. IF we win both, we should still be top or there abouts, and no real dilemma. Here's hoping for this option Scott
  3. I have a question for you all. Could it be said that Roman is the saviour of the Premiership? Or is he the antithesis of a saviour? To me, before he came along, it was a top 2 team scenario. There were relatively no foreign investors in the premiership, unless you count the Irish blokes at man U. Roman comes along, with a whirlwind of cash and leads Chelsea, with a colourful and controversial manager, to the top. Serious CL contenders, and serious contenders in ALL competitins they played in (not like Liverfool who only focused on one). Since his arrival, Man U get taken over by the Glazers, That Icelandic bloke buys West ham and brings two great south american players to the premiership. Liverpool get bought by gillette, and then throw a ton of cash at their team to try and challenge on mroe than one front per season. Now, I still think that there is a gap between the top 4 (which was only a top two a few years back) and the rest. But with other premiership bringing in better players constantly in the transfer windows, we are seeing more and more entertaining games at all levels of the prem. On the flip side. Clubs are now seen as business opportunities, and are run accordingly. Asian, American, Afrivan markets are all ebing tapped up to provide more brand awareness and thus sell more merchandize. Clubs are being held to ransom for players, or players are touted to premiership clubs, thus drumming up their price. SImple Supply and demand. The clubs then need to be able to stay in business, so they sell all their tickets off at higher prices, selling corporate boxes so those companies can have a :jolly fun day out with our foreign investors" at (insert club ground name here). Thus, making it harder and ahrder for the true fan to go and see the team their family has followed for generations. So, in summation. can it be said that Roman has made the premiership more interesting by increasing teh talent on display, and making the title races far less predictable? Or, has he turned the prem into a business venture for foreign investors who really don't care about the club they've bought, and thus price out those who really do care about the club? Scott
  4. Injuries to a couple of their key players and then see where Liverpool are? Man U and us are missing big names, while still trying to get new players bedded into the team. I think Belletti looked to have great pace, and to be honest, he also looks to have a much better cross than Paulo does. As a wing back this might be why Jose went for him (and the overinflated price of alves) Scott
  5. Cheers mate, aranginy my staff's schedule accordingly to give myself those days off! Shocking abuse of position, but, hey!
  6. Our most decorated manager with a team of players who look like they would throw themselves infront of a bus for him!!! Stay
  7. Hope you're sitting having a pint with your feeet up, watching constant Chelsea matches in heaven Scott
  8. Man I am right across the board as to what I am listening to right now! Led Zep, BBC Sessions Soundtrack of our Lives, Behind the Music Never mind the bollox Nick Drake, A treasury The vines, Highly Evolved James Brown, Super Bad Right accross the board, but I got a 6 disk CD player in the car, and like to keep it varied. This will all have changed by next week I am sure Scott
  9. I sadi teh exact thing to my wife when I herd this.....but arse will still want to hold on to the fact that they're and "english" club!
  10. I love how the media are going on about Torres getting a hat trick and his speedy adaptation to the premierhsip.....it was Derby FFS!!!! It's like people going nuts about rooney scoring 3 in his European debut against the crap defence of Fenerbache. I bet if we play derby, they'll hold us to a 2-0 and we'll be classed as guttless attackers!
  11. yeah, same old blind sh*t people keep spouting. I also find it amusing that the go on about lams missing the pen, but they forget about gerrard missing too!
  12. I like this too, but with the way Jose utilizes Essien, I would see him defending and mikkel go forward
  13. Aye she is a model...although frankly....no looker! That's the way it is with those ukrainian models shes a yank though isnt she? yes she is
  14. Sad to see him go, and coupled with Diarra this is really a loss of two young possible stars. Favourite memory of him was his goal against the 2-3 thriller up at Ewood where he composed himself wonderfully to volley a shot on the turn into the blackburn net! Then was tackled by melchiot, adn got cramp!
  15. Sad to see him leave, I thought that he could ahve been a great player for us. At RB and in the mid he was such a versatile player, and that is what we needed, especially if any of our backs get hurt again! Although, I don't thinkit is as much of a deal this season with the versatility across the back of Alex, and Haim. But, I feel that our RB situation isn't as bad as it seems. Paulo or beletti will do for a season

really??? what a bummer, it was a mate of mine from SCotland who turned me on to it....sorry if I rubbed this in your face, it was not ym intention. I guess I am becoming Americanized; oblivious to the world outside of the US

Yeah I seen that recently. Holloway certainly has high regards for him Hutchinson plays as a Centre back, or midfielder, and can play RB too. Holloway says he as is good as sinclair, as a player, but in different positions and has shown a lot of tools in his playing closet that seem to show signs of promise. I certainly enjoyed seeing him come on against Evertone at the end of last season, where I think he played hte mid, but can't recall I also see Holloway has said with us selling Arjen, you;ll be unlikely to get Sinclair back....bad news for you, but I hope this means we see more of Scotty i our side! Cheers again Pilgrim
  18. last one sounds like the skatalites mate, loved their "Guns of Navaronne" Scott

anyone use pandora...it builds music stations to suit the names of your favourite artists. Basically, it will ask you to name a band...say Cream. Then it will run a synopsis of what cream are all about (heavy distoriont, harminizing melodies, and heavy blues) then it will make a radio station for you with artists who are similar in their style. If they recomend a song you don't like, you can click on the "thumbs down" icon and it will skip that song and find others more suited that you can then give the "thumbs up" to. Pretty decent, infact, I am listening to my CCR station right now!
  20. Good on both clubs. Horrible news for the family concerned. RIP wee fella
  21. exactly, and then thy would be going on about how injust it is taht we got a pen the week before that wasn't and then didn't get a pen called against us the clearly was! Honestly though, don't Man U have shares in Sky (or Sky in Man U) I wonder if the pundits fear slagging off the boss. It seems that people who are on there all agree with whatever the consensus is, and they never really invite anyoen who thinks outside their bubble back!
  22. always worth a shot, although now living in the states they mainly show the prem on the channel I get, and then some Serie A
  23. Just Chelsea for me, then the Scottish national side! Watching them is like following Chelsea a good few years back..constant hope, but you'll alway end up heart broken!
  24. To be honest mate, it's tough to call. I really don't fancy meeting any of them. I do think Lyon are a tough tough team, and if we get them then that would be a hard match. I bet Porto would love to have us come their way Scott
