BLUENUT
From official site: http://www.chelseafc.com/page/NewsHomeP ... 80,00.html Typical Kenyon. He did the same at ManU!!!! Bringing out a new kit each season, then another mid-season, just to RIP-OFF the supporters! What side could clash with both blue AND electric yellow? Serious question: How many kits have Chelsea played in over the past 3 years? Realistically it should be about 4 if we changed the home and away by alternating each year, which we did under Bates! We've played in 3 different home shirts in the past 3 years since PK arrived!!!
midlandblue
Not good news. I predict by the start of next season the team will not be running out to Blue Is The Colour or Liquidator but to Money Money Money by Abba.
sweet waffle
Classic, as if we're going to be having any kit clashes with the Yellow away strip!!

glory55
God knows how many kits we've had since Fred the Red arrived?? It is over-kill big time..... He is a money man first and fore-most,we've said it many a time! I would just advise people not to buy it! I hope the sales of the (Barca look-a-like) Lolloy pop lady kit are really down.... ...its worse than the Jade kit!! Be an individual dont buy a Replica shirt, they look daft on drinkers anyway!! ....Apart from the Season Review Dvd im boy-cotting all Official Clobber. POWER TO THE PEOPLE! loz
Kenyon has instruction from up high to make us self financing rather than Roman dependant. No Chief Exec, be it Kenyon, Birch, or Hutch , or anyone else you care to mention, would achieve this at a club with our expenditure level if they didn't go down the excessive merchandising and US/Asian tour routes. I am not saying I like it, I am just saying it is inevitable if we want to see players of the calibre that we have playing on a week in week out basis. It is a case of wanting your cake and wanting to eat it I'm afraid.

Tim W
Well if we follow the lead of others in red we'll be changing the player's numbers in the year between design changes.
midlandblue
I have a theory on shirt numbers. I can see, in the not to distant future, that squad numbers on shirts will take second stage, so to speak, to the players name. I know the number is pureley for identification so perhaps they will simply leave the number on the shorts leaving the back of the shirt for the players name and their own personal sponsor. ie. BALLACK along the top of the shirt with the Adidas logo wher the number used to be. remember wher you heard it first.

WOuld we let a player in and Adidas kit (club sponser) have a player sponser of Nike on his back? I doubt it, but they could have other sponsers away from sports firm, ie Powergen or Carlsberg etc, I strongly doubt Samsung would let them have a phone company either. Money has ruined and will continue to ruin football - pure and simple, it's not the game it used to be
Englishman
Just don't buy one !I don't see why people feel the need to buy ever shirt, I agree. The prices are extortionate and wearing them doesn't make you any more of a fan. The last replica shirt I bought was the 02-03 one.
yorkleyblue
I might be a sad old f**ker, but I have three replica shirts, that I have had for ages. One is the Autoglass one with the nice collar, one is a bright yellow Autoglass away and the other one is the beautiful, sexy, slate grey and orange away shirt that is two sizes too big! Don't think I will be buying a new one this season either Kev PS At the Charity Shield against the dippers last year, a group of them thought it would be so very witty to sing "There's only one Di Matteo". BLUENUT
If that's it, it just goes to prove they should have kept the white one from last season and not fleeced the fans, the changes are miniscule and its just another way for you to buy a new kit
Blue Sun Tzu
For some reason this won't load as a picture; you have to click on link... but that is the new third kit.

mad_mac
THe last kit I bought was the last one we had when sponsored by Emirates, and I gave that away, so the last one I own is the season before that, and the white away kit with the blue stripe down the middle. Think I am wearing it in my profile photo. Don't HAVE to have a shirt every season to show you support the club, in my mind. ANd my favourite is still my old Coors one anyway! blue monty
i understand what you are all saying, but.... i will buy every shirt, and im not on great money at work, but by some means i always buy them even if its a few months after release date i still get em, maybe its me, but i love em to bits and always will, i wear the colours every where i go, going to devon this month and the new away is packed already the dear wife treated me, but i do understand, but cant stop myself getting them :

BLUENUT
3 new homes kits in 3 years. 1 electric yellow 1 new white away kit, another one on the way. 2 black kits (i think) Light blue away kit released only at the end of last season I'm sure we've played in yellow at some stage over the past 3 years aswell. So thats at least 9 new kits in 3 seasons. Although the home shirt hasn't changed this season, the shirt lettering and numders have been changed by all clubs this season, so technically last years home shirt is 'out of date' Well done PK Looks like Blue, white, electric yellow, black and sky blus is the colour

youlots
What's with the bloody collar on that strip?!? Why oh why do they keep bringing back a collar on football strips??? Collars are a bloody pain in the neck. It should be totally illegal to put collars on any football shirt (except bloody liverppool shirts cos it gives me a reason to hate them more). I couldn't agree more YL. I rarely buy replica shirts because most of them are so naff, (think I've only ever brought three in my entire life). And I would never, ever buy one with a collar. Collars are for polo shirts not football shirts. If they are gonna put a poxy collar on 'em why not go the whole hog and sell it with a clip-on tie as well!
