We have a terrific coach on-board but on (rare) occasions I am gobsmacked by his tactics.

Ok, ok, bad result. Disappointing result. Last year, we took both games vs these guys. It happens. Tough turn around from Madrid Wednesday. Get it again late November with Wednesday in Baku, Azerbaijan and Saturday at Liverpool.
Felt the game was close to balanced at the point Morata went out injured. We were completely lost from that point forward. Shame we did not pick up Llorente at the end of the window. He would allow us to maintain the same over-the-top tactics as with Morata. Batshuayi does not offer the same opportunities. Did not feel Willian was the answer for Morata's replacement.
Couple of weeks off. Get everyone healthy. Play Batshuayi vs Palace.

Ovrebo's mistakes would have been an amusing footnote had Drogba and especially Anelka converted just one more of the eight chances they had.

I still think he's nervous if I'm being honest, his first touch has been off, even look at the first goal he almost scruffed that first touch. At Juventus & Madrid I can't remember him ever having a bad touch, we're still yet to see him settle in. 

Why is it bollocks ? With Drogba's ability, he probably should have scored more goals for us. Twice in his career he managed 20 goals in a season. 4 of his 9 season's he didn't even get into double figures in Premier League goals. As one of the top strikers of his generation, he probably could have got more goals. He made up for it though with his big game goals.

Musonda is a better talent and also Hudson-Odoi will develop into a better player than Pulisic. 

You do realise me saying Salah was poor backs up my point, right? The fact a poor Salah ripped a do called world class mendy apart highlights he was rubbish at the main part of a defenders job, defending. 
 
As for luiz, I said he would struggle as a defender for us, I still believe he would in a back 4. However in a 3 he is exceptional and all credit to him and Conte.

With Morata's headed goals it almost seems like we have an old fashioned English CF, IMO

I think making a bid for another top LWB even if Sandro is Conte's only choice would have prompted them to sell. That will send the message that we have other alternatives aside Sandro. But now they know we will try to sign him on the last hour of the transfer window for 75 or 80m which is bad for a 27 year old defender.
