September 23, 20178 yr It's not a rumour, however have been watching this American kid (19 y/old) only for a short amount of time, but I do think Chelsea should be showing an interest in this kid. I've seen him in a couple of positions, but his best is where Willian/Pedro play. He plays for B. Dortmund, has great pace, is direct and skillful, scores goal, creates chances, good passing range, can tackle, works hard. IMO he has it all and think he will be top class. @MissouriBlue @TheChelseaBlues @robdog @General may also be able to give their opinions on Pulisic. Edited September 23, 20178 yr by Osgood is Good
September 23, 20178 yr Potentially a world class player, and I can see him going for more than Dembele was sold.
September 23, 20178 yr he just turned 19 a few days ago - dude is Landon Donovan 2.0 - pacy good foot skills - needs a bit more weight to withstand physicality of the EPL - BTW Klopp has already attempted to bring him over to LOLpool - see if BVB can keep him
September 23, 20178 yr Really rate the kid, if Sane can do it then I think he can as well. It'd be a shame if we let other big teams get him. However, needs to be given time to adjust to the Prem. Standard of officiating can differ game by game and needs to work on his physical side as there are games in the Prem where teams are being physical.
September 23, 20178 yr Nothing to add really that hasn't been said @Osgood is Good except that he often gets labeled as a winger but he seems more comfortable coming inside and doing what Hazard does for us. He'll be moving next summer for a hefty fee and I'd love to see him replace Pedro in our squad. Not a chance he comes if we dont sell either Willi or him Edited September 23, 20178 yr by TheChelseaBlues

Probably not got much else to add myself, all of everybody's insights pretty much my thoughts. He really has caught the eye the few times I've seen him play for Dortmund for sure!
September 26, 20178 yr Musonda is a better talent and also Hudson-Odoi will develop into a better player than Pulisic.

Musonda arguably a better talent but he's not as direct for me. He has the same problem as C.Ronaldo when he first came to England. No idea about Hudson-Odoi until he's played against PL level opposition.
February 18, 20188 yr Daily Mail: Borussia Dortmund's desire to secure Michy Batshuayi on permanent deal could put Chelsea in pole position to sign Christian Pulisichttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5403133/Chelsea-use-Batshuayi-sign-Christian-Pulisic.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490 Must say I hope this doesn't happen, I'm not entirely convinced Pulisic is any better than Pedro. February 18, 20188 yr Pulisic reminds me of Oscar. Nothing amazing about him, tidy, bit of skill. Etc.

I don't think it will happen anyway but if Willian or Pedro were to leave this summer I'd go as far to say Yarmolenko would be a better signing. Yarmolenko would at least be able to handle the physicality of the league. Fwiw I don't think he even has a tidy bit of skill, i.e. he doesn't turn have the quick turn of pace that Willian and Pedro have. Edited February 18, 20188 yr by the special one

Don't get me wrong, in certain games Oscar was good, but those games were very rare. Pulisic is a decent attacking midfielder, but he's not a player of the quality of Pedro or Willian. He'd do ok, but I wouldn't look at him as a starter. I'd much rather take a Reus for a few seasons.

But you saying Pulisic is only 19 and is going to improve is wrong, not all players improve and most stay the same. Oscar is just one of my examples of that.

No not all players improve but I would say most do at the right clubs and management. Mainly because his 19 and not 29.
February 20, 20188 yr Pulisic himself admits his form has dipped since the winter break in Germany - personally I think his form has dipped because he's now a known quantity, opposition know how to nullify his strengths and he doesn't have the characteristics to adapt his game. He is/will be a good player but I'd be surprised if he get's anywhere near to a "world class" level, perhaps even a level required for top 4. I've watched him a few times in recent weeks and I really don't see what the fuss is about. Edited February 20, 20188 yr by the special one
February 20, 20188 yr As weird as it sounds, he could have already played his best football of his career. Oscar is 26 now. His best years were between the age of 22-23. After that he slowly got worse. He just became a run of the mill type player who pulled no trees up. I see an awful lot in Pulisic in what I saw in Oscar. They'll have that moment of magic here and there, but on the whole they will disappoint a little. I think personally Pulisic may become a better player than Oscar, but I don't see him dominating at BVB, and then moving on somewhere else and becoming a world star. I like his story, a kid from Pennsylvania working his way to huge club in Germany and making an impact at such a young age. Wish him the best of luck, and will be sure to keep an eye on him. February 22, 20188 yr Mizaga 2.0 in that he'll end up at Vitesse and part of the loan army for the next 3 years before being sold to another team, where he'll turn into a world beater for 2-3 years and Utd or City end up buying him for at least 150million to win them every trophy
