That's why we each have a choice it who we want to win it. Our CL battle's with Liverpool afforded me that respect I have for them, some great game's, controversial decision, fantastic Goals and last minute winners, so for me Liverpool is my choice. Of course, it's absolutely your choice on who you prefer. Me and you though, have a very different account of those matches we had with Liverpool in the CL. And my disdain for Liverpool does not come from the club itself, it's the fans that I cannot stand. And I don't ever want them to taste success as long as they draw breath! Just my opinion though.

Fair enough. First bit of positivity I've seen in the media since the match. Samuals is usually fair with his assessment. Didn't listen to the commentary or the post match studio chat as it's usually a load of guff!

Yep, was watching the game with an Arsenal supporting colleague, and let him know in no uncertain terms that Welbeck was a dirty little cheat. He was adamant that there was contact! Couldn't believe it.

Just pointing out that we aren't getting the kudos from the media like some are saying. Durham might be at the extreme end of the scale, but it's the jist of what's been said in the media about our lose to Barcelona. We certainly haven't had much, if any praise. Not that we deserve much!

We weren't crap that's for sure, but other than Kante, Willian & Rudiger, we weren't that great either. And as for the media giving us kudos, all I've heard is us getting bashed for believing we were good when the consensus outside the club is that we were far from it. I think Durham on TalkSport went as far as calling us an embarrassment to English football yesterday!

So, not picked for the current England Squad. Not that I'm surprised at all, as he doesn't play regularly enough, and when he does, his form is average at best. My only disappointment is that without Cahill, Chelsea are now un-represented for England, which hasn't happen for a number of years now! Hoping by the time the next international tournament comes around, some of our youth are playing first team football. (Hopefully for us!)

Not necessarily. We could just start using some of this amazing youth talent we have at our club. Probably means we won't win anything for a few seasons. But it would be all the sweeter when we do win something, knowing it came from the success of our academy! Not going to happen, I know. But for me this is the dream.

I think we need to re-think our formation. This two man midfield hasn't worked for us this season. It could be that we need the right personnel for the formation to work, or that the formation itself has been found out. One thing's for sure, if we're going to go toe to toe with City next season. Something drastically needs changing!

Something else I want to bring up about last night as well. How often Barca players cheat and get away with it! It's hugely frustrating and nobody does a thing about it. f**king UEFA probably laughing away watching Messi fall over clasping his face and Rudiger brushed passed him! I can see it now: UEFA Top Dog 1: "Ha ha, Messi does it again, I don't think he was even touched that time!" UEFA Top Dog 2: "Yes it's all going to plan, the Refs bonus is getting bigger and bigger for this match" UEFA Top Dog 1: "I told him I would double it if he denied the enemies of football a stonewall penalty too! I think I'll treble it now!"

Yep, fantastic player on his day, extremely frustrating player when he's not. If he went to somewhere like Real or Barca, he would probably find he had more time and space to perform, and in that respect he would probably excel. For us though, I would like to see far more from him. As some have said above, he is our best player in regards to technical and natural skill. But he is not our most important player at the moment. That honor goes to N'Golo!

Imagine Lampard and Ballack alongside this man! What a midfield that would have been. We need a strong partner for Kante, in the mold of those two legends. Maybe we already have him on our books, RLC?

You're right, when you factor in the beginning of the season, Willian was a slow burner which may factor into most peoples choice in the vote. And we all saw how much we missed Kante when he was injured!

Going to be hard to choose between Willian and Kante for POTY this season. Both have been fantastic and are really the only two players, other than maybe Hazard, that we should do our up-most to keep hold of!

I think you were looking for the "Popular opinions about Chelsea" Thread. On Courtois I agree. The guy is useless, and the sooner he f**ks of back to Spain the better. Willian is by far our most consistent performer up front, but even he has his off days. Hazard is our most skillful and most technical player, but blows hot and cold far too often to be truly world class!

Almost exactly what I wanted to say. Kante & Willian were fantastic last night. Rudiger was also great in defence. And that's it! Courtois is an atrocious goalkeeper who lets in far more than he saves. Moses can run and run and run............. Giroud and Morata can f**k off to the Championship were they might get a game. And as for Hazard! For a supposed "World Class Player", the guy needs to step up once in a while and show it! Go for the FA Cup now and play some of the youth in the league. Look forward to the World Cup and then next season we start again! (Almost typed "We go again", but that sounded to slippy!)

I've got 2 problems with the first half so far. first is the constant cheating by the Barca players! Not only are they going to ground so easy, sometimes without any contact, but they are getting away with it! Its soul destroying knowing that if we did it, UEFA would throw the book at us! And secondly, I'm not that impressed by this Barca side. To the point that if they were to meet City, I think City will beat them. Which depresses me a little.

Yes, we have a culture here of writing off players before giving them a chance to improve. Would love us to have a "B" team playing in the championship, like in Spain, so we could develop all our youth in house. Oh we can dream!
