Hey we came second in everything with the school janitor in charge of the team so we should sweep the board.... I hope so, but there are doubts - big Phil never managed a club team in Europe, a few too many the wrong side of 30 (you don't improve at that age), but hell let's attack and go for it!!!

Excellent choice, preferable to a lot of Italian nomarks like Mancini, Spalletti & the Fiorentina guy. The media has us buying Robinho, Deco, Ronaldinho, Villa, Quaresma, Kaka, Torres and Gazza. If we're buying Deco, how do we play Essien, Ballack, Lampard & Deco in the same team ? Don't say Essien at right back because we have Ferreira, Belletti & Bosingwa, all of whom are Big Phil's mates. Robinho & Quaresma would be ok, Ronaldinho is past it, the one we must try and get is Kaka, but where does that leave Ballack & Lampard ? Priorities are reserve keeper, wide men and a 20 goal a season man.

How can a club with oodles of cash and one of the best squads in Europe make such a pig's ear of finding a decent manager ? Now it's Spaletti and the guy from Fiorentina, hang on, 7-1 against Manure and a UEFA Cup loss to the mighty Glasgow Rangers ?
