It will be interesting to see how the players react in our final two PL games, as all of them are essentially now playing for their future place in the team/squad under Alonso, and for sure he will be watching closely !

Delap laughing. Yeah, it's all so f**king funny, isn't it? Useless w**ker. Don't even know what he is laughing at. You should be embarrassed thinking you're an actual footballer.

On your last point I fully agree. Rosenior was never good enough and should never have been appointed.
However while he may not be good enough, the way so-called top players, many of them internationals, just down tools and don't put in a shift for a guy they don't think is up to their deluded image of themselves is scandalous. No shortage of players in our squad who are pieces of sh*t.
As for who next I wish we would go for Simeone. This squad of tits needs a manager who will take none of their primadonna sh*te. Sadly our owners wouldn't go near Simeone.

They have Mbuemo, we have Delap. Arsenal were very relieved to score at the end.
We clearly have defensive frailties and I was pleased to see Badiashile was nowhere to be seen tonight but a more gung-ho approach could easily have ended in a heavy defeat. This squad is very young and a heavy defeat that that has no impact on Champions league could have seriously damaged moral.
Rosenior has had to make some big calls early in his tenure and he needs to keep this young squad positive. I have seen too many games this season where we have conceded early and heads drop. We needed to stay close to Arsenal and we did that tonight.
I'm a realist. With this squad I really don't think we could have done any better tonight.

Fair point, as is our current fanbase mentality if it happens they've crucified him before a balls kicked in anger. Fingers crossed 🤞

Regis Le Bris has hit the ground running in the PL and he came from Ligue 1 (Lorient) and even got them relegated to Ligue 2 before he was sacked there, so maybe Rosenior can surprise us all ?
  7. Roll Eyes
He never really had me. I've not been convinced since day 1, and it's mainly because of the football. I hate this style, I always have and have been waiting for a coach to come in and throw out of the club for good for years now. The only good football this club has played in years was under Tuchel when we had Chilwell and James flying as wing backs and Kante in the middle driving us forward.
  8. Haha
I’m trying to figure out if I’m impressed with Noah for whilst being quite poor and getting a hiding they are still pushing forward like they are in it.
They’re not still in it are they ??

You might be taking the comment a little more personally than is warranted. I’m talking about the posts as a whole as opposed to any individual. More than half of these comments would have been posted whether it was McKenna, RDZ, Frank or even Xavi for that matter. That’s endemic of how spoilt the fan base have become. Never happy, always negative. What happened to cheer us on through the sun and rain. What happened to getting behind the manager and being the 12th man? Because all I can see is a thread with 90% of messages throwing hate on a manager who hasn’t even signed yet, has had zero opportunity to stake his claim and all that breeds is people looking for any flaw to fulfill their own confirmation bias who’ll end up jumping down his throat 2 minutes into his career. How can anyone succeed with that kind of mentality from their fan base, it’s the sheer definition of toxicity. The media do enough of that without us adding to the circus.

I think this is the game that has made me want Poch out.

I've been willing to defend him given our insane injuries' record and the youth of the team - I don't think any other manager could have done better in the first 6 months or so given these conditions.

But we are not even close to progressing as a team. Even before games start, I know how we will look and how chaotic everything about our play will be. I don't trust this team to win any game or hold on to any lead and that's not just down to injuries or a young team.
  11. Nice One
Throughout the match, we must have given away possession in our own half nearly 100 times. Disasi had about 5 loose touches that gave away chances to Liverpool.
The players looked scared, even when we had periods of more control, we shat the bed and missed like 3 sitters and plenty of other chances to score but a player would choke anytime it came to making the correct decision.
Extra time was just pitiful. Stopped playing completely and got humiliated by 4 kids that have barely kicked a ball at this level. This lot choked so badly and humiliated themselves, again.
  12. Nice One
It was Disasi that lost him! I knew knives would be out for Mudryk when I saw it, but he’d never win an aerial duel like that! That was down to Disasi, he should’ve tracked better! I don’t actually think Mudryk knew too much about it!
  13. Nice One
I agree. It's been miserable for so long, and winning a penalty shoot out is always an amazing feeling.

Maatsen and Gusto to cement their place in defence, we had better options on the ball when they came on.

N'kunku, Chilwell, Carney, Fofana, Chalobah, Broja, Lavia. All not available.
James, Disasi, Jackson, Madueke. All just returned from injury and possibly not fully match fit.
A new team still learning to play together in a new system. A team that had been low on confidence and in the bottom half of the table.
Arsenal had every first choice player available. Perhaps only a slight question over the match fitness of Partey. A team used to the manager's system. Just beaten Pep and City. Bursting with confidence.
And we were, without any doubt whatsoever, the better team. By some margin. This is a young Chelsea side. It is growing, evolving, learning. But still, with all those hurdles and injuries, we have shown against Liverpool and now Arsenal, we can compete. We can take points off them.
I believe, it won't be long before we start beating them.

Is this a chelsea forum or Twitter for teens .. the amount over reactions.. chill one game we should have won it but that’s football ..
on to the next one.. Caicedo will get better and with the debut out of the way I am sure he will be extra motivated to prove..
people writing him after a game are clearly not Chelsea or football fans.. get behind and support your club every game is not a reason to go after our players
    sh*t happens in football.. chill

The penalty miss changed the game and gave West Ham and their supporters a lift. We go in 2-1 up and I honestly think we go on to win. Such fine margins. They are talking on Sky right now about why didn't Jackson take the penalty? Get him off the mark  - it's a no brainer. Strikers SHOULD take penalties - Drogba, Dixon, Kane, Fowler ....etc
Hurts to lose to a West Ham side who must be pinching themselves after the battering we gave them first 45, but "sigh - that's football................"

Aye just beat City home and away and we are a point ahead!

I'm not sure where you get the brown nosing, I have no idea who Valerie is simply quoted a post but whatever helps you sleep at night! He had a very poor cameo but making a snap judgement on the value of a player after 15 mins was in my opinion a baffling position to take irrespective of the penalty after that and I stand by that. If you can't handle other people having an opinion on your takes without resorting to name calling, then maybe a forum isn't the right place to air your views.

It’s utterly broken. What’s happened/happening to CFC is tectonic - an implosion beyond anyone’s control now that I fear most haven’t come to terms with yet and I hope I’m wrong. Probably am.
People scrambling for analogous situations- “remember that time we overturned a 0-2 deficit and went on to win the competition.”  The optimism is admirable and credit to you all. Anything is possible. But I think things are going to get worse, and maybe a lot worse. This isn’t the same as those low points during the Roman era. It’s a full on regime change.

You seem very sure. How do you measure it to come such a definitive conclusion? Money spent? Games attended? Loyalty in the face of adversity?
