  1. This is mine, but mainly because I was in the Matthew Harding with my Dad, Uncle and cousin. What a goal. His last ever for Chelsea, dontcha know.
  2. What a day. Started roughly after I woke up a bit later than planned! But when I got there they were really welcoming and stuck me straight in goal (what I wanted!) and had such an amazing afternoon. Flo Mo and Turnbull were there with us, but sadly weren't really playing just sort of giving advice to me and the other winners. Cobham really is an amazing place, apparently it's effectively the size of 26 football pitches and it's just generally really, really nice. The only thing that was moderately annoying was that it was a training kit photo shoot going on and they were shooting most of the squad (don't worry, Ashley wasn't involved!), but I saw numerous faces, I saw David Luiz from afar when I walked in, looking like he was doing his typical looney schtick with the camera. I saw Essien from a distance at the shoot. Bertrand and a few youngsters waved to me as they were having lunch. I was within about 10 feet of Ramires, but there were signs saying we weren't allowed to have pictures or autographs in the car parks, which was a shame. I have pictures from me in my stint in goal, one of a flying save that will be up in the gallery when my sister uploads the pictures, amongst others of the training, pictures of me with Malouda and Turnbull, a few of Cobham itself. I got Malouda and Turnbull to sign two of my shirts, one for me and one to send home to my little brother. Such an amazing afternoon. BUT, the most interesting part is below. After we'd finished the session, me and my sister set off through the car park to go back to the train station. Not only did we see Ramires, but we also saw...Cesc Fabregas. Whether he was just down to visit his fellow spaniard Torres or something far more intriguing is definitely up for discussion. Definitely an intriguing surprise appearance if you ask me. You heard it here first.
  3. Alex has to start this one. He was absolutely immense on Sunday, looks back to match sharpness. If he can keep Utd out for 45, I'm 99% sure he can keep Newcastle out for 90. -------------------------Cech --Bosingwa----Alex-----------JT------Bertrand ------------------------Mikel ----------Ramires-------------Yossi --Anelka------------------------------Zhirkov ----------------------Torres Josh, Lamps to get 30 minutes each.
  4. I was thinking about it! Is there a goalkeeping spot available?
  5. I'll bare that in mind. It would be cool to have just a thread that lasts about an hour with someone answering question.
  6. A tweet from a mate earlier: "Don't forget your bulletproof jacket!"
  7. That's actually a good question, will do!
  8. I registered at 188bet ages ago (through the promo on this site I think actually!) and I picked Chelsea as my favourite team, obviously. I got a phone call today from a random number, saying they were from 188Bet and that I'd won a training day at Cobham, where I get to train with some coaches and meet the players! I was a bit dubious and said no originally. But I immediately rang the 188Bet official number to see whether it was legit or not. Turns it, IT IS REAL. I'M GOING TO COBHAM ON THURSDAY TO TRAIN WITH SOME COACHES AND MEET THE SQUAD AND MANAGERS. WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE MY EXCITEMENT. I'LL USE A PICTURE INSTEAD.

  10. That's exactly my point. I expect us to challenge for the league every season, yes, but I'll never EVER go into any season, or any match saying "we're going to win it." NEVER (unlike RAWK or redcafe). Let yourself the lowest expectation until you become totally safe, then you can set sights on higher goals.
  11. Oh no we can't jump to conclusions saying that if Sky have it then it's solid, but like Castiel said, Sky don't just pluck random stories with hardly any bearing and make them breaking news.
  12. Look at it this way: if you go into every season and hope to not be relegated, anything else is a complete bonus.
  13. That's the part I'm interested. He said the team doesn't need A LOT of movement, implying we still need some. And I kind of agree. There're a few deadwoods like Bosingwa, Anelka that need shifting. But other than that, we'll have Sturridge coming back who should jump straight into the team, ahead of Kalou, Malouda and possibly Drogba (but not Torres, he's our main man now). Josh should surely be eyeing a first team spot, Lamps relegated to a squad member only. Essien needs to get back to his old self and fast or I'd get rid of him. Ideally, our team next season should be: -----------------------Cech ---Ivan----Alex/Luiz--------JT----Ashley ----------------------Mikel --Ramires------Josh/NEW CM-----NEW WINGER --------Sturridge-------------Torres Or along those lines.
  14. All the best, Loz. Ditto to what Hutch said.
  15. So losing to Inter, who then went on to win the competition, and losing to Manure, who are in the final against Barcelona, is a sign he's rubbish in the Champions League? Worst run of form since, I don't know, Scolari? Granted, it was a shocking run of form, but I don't think you could put that down to Carlo. It's just form. We lost 2-0 to Liverpool at their place, and it kicked that off. We beat Manure 2-1 at our place, kicks off an 8 match unbeaten run in the league, ending today. I really don't believe it's down to Carlo, and I'm not going to discuss what went wrong because it could have been Ray or some other, hush hush behind the scenes incident, we don't know. But not all the blame can go on Carlo, the players are the ones actually performing.
  16. A double winning, two-time Champions League winning manager is mediocre? Oh yeah, sorry, he is, my mistake. Picking players isn't all he has to do, no. But one thing we really don't want right now is another summer looking for a manager when we should be focusing on improving the team. We need to have some continuity with managers, we can't go back to being the circus we have been.
  17. New players? Yes. New system? Perhaps. New manager? God no. Carlo was criticesed against Manure in the CL for putting Torres on rather than Drogba, and he rightly accepted he was wrong. Today, he picked the right team, the right front 3, and they just didn't turn up. You can't blame a manager for that. King Carlo!
  18. Alex for me. Awesome display, his block on Rooney was as good as I've seen in a long time, didn't put a foot wrong. I think an Alex/David Luiz partnership in a few seasons could be a fantastic one.
  19. We were never, ever in the game. Even when Lamps scored, we didn't show any drive to go on from there. Ho hum, next season guys. New players, new ideas.
  20. Perfect opportunity for Kalou to run rings down the right. Come on Chelsea.
  21. Finished the Single player a few days ago, absolutely amazing game, loved every second. Got about halfway through the co-op last night too, it's not as challenging as the single player, but it's still incredibly fun.
  22. I'm always nervous before any match, but this match I'm absolutely petrified. 19 hours and counting till the biggest game of the season.
  23. Sounds like a hilarious few minutes at WHL in the Spuds v Blackpool game. Dawson concedes a penalty for handball, Adam takes and it seems Gomes makes a fantastic save. From the resulting corner, Gomes fails to catch the ball TWICE, leading to him taking down Taylor-Fletcher in the area, ANOTHER penalty, and Adam hammers it home. 1-0 to Blackpool, happy days!
  24. Good choice, Scooby Blue! I've taken a bit of a turn in a few of my musical preferences recently. I watched Adventureland fairly recently and it has a fantastic 80s soundtrack which I've taken an epic fancy to, but through that then I've been listening to Rumours - Fleetwood Mac, and I love it.
