2011-12 Away Kits
If it's anything like that I'll be a very happy man. One of my favourite kits.

how to beat the mancs
I think I'd rather see Ramires than Essien in midfield. Man U have Park/Fletcher in midfield who will just run their socks off all game, Ramires is probably the only player we have at the moment that can do it consistently. Work horses win games.

Goal of the Season
Went for Ramires. I adore that goal on so many levels, absolutely superb skill and finish.

POLL: Midfield v Man Utd
Mikel, Ramires, Lampard for me. Mikel has been playing fantastically well recently, I think sticking him holding to mark Rooney, who'll be drifting everywhere. Essien did an incredible job on Gerrard under Hiddink I remember, but Mikel has been too good recently to be left out. He's the form defensive midfielder. Ramires will just run his socks off aswell, excellent cover for Ivanovic at right back, as well as being able to sprint at Ferdinand/Vidic/Evra too.

Your World-11 Fantasy Draft Game
Haha, sorry! I was watching Round 2 unfold hoping Maldini would be forgotten about, I jumped straight in when it was my turn!

Manchester United v Chelsea (PL) 08/05/11 KO 16:10 BST
I guess Lamps, Drogba will just have to let fly from 45 yards and score screamer after screamer, giving Webb no reason to disallow it. Problem solved.

Ferguson's mind games
God I hate Ferguson, I really do.

Manchester United v Chelsea (PL) 08/05/11 KO 16:10 BST
I'm with Maksimov on this one. I'd much rather take it one game at a time. Yes, it's impossible not to think that by some miracle we actually could be champions in a few weeks time, but Manure at the weekend is such a MASSIVE game that we have to concentrate on that for the coming week. Manure is a massive game anyway, but this Sunday's has so many levels of uninaginable tension that it has to be taken with just getting the 3 points, not of the consequences of those 3 points. I'm looking at this match more for revenge for our CL exit, not because we were cheated out of it (the better side won it, let's face facts), but because we didn't play like we can in those two games. We need to really stick it to them, show the spirit we did against them at home earlier in the season, the spirit we showed last season at Old Trafford. I'm already nervous.

Portal 2
Anyone have this game? I'm currently playing it, around halfway through I'm guessing, it's absolutely incredible. You can tell they've gone all out to make it a bigger game than the first one, I adore it. It's superbly scriped aswell, Stephen Merchant plays Wheatley, he's your guide through the first half of the game, and he's incredibly funny.

Did that seriously just happen? Did I just witness Arsenal hold out for half an hour with a 1-0 lead against MANCHESTER UNITED?! I'm dreaming. 3 points. Same goal difference. Old Trafford next week. This could not be more exciting.

They're racists. They're implying that all black people look the same. I'M SUING.

Gareth Bale Rumours
Yes please, if we are to get anyone from Tottenham, VDV and Modric are the only ones that are worth going for, with the latter being clearly my preferred choice. When he first signed for Tottenham, I thought he was fantastic, and he's gotten better and better. He's 25 aswell, best years ahead of him.

Were they in the same game?! That's a scandal.

Chelsea v Tottenham Hotspur (PL) 30/04/11 KO 17:30 BST
We'll have to wait for Carlo's presser on Friday, but I don't think either of them will be fit. Gets Josh a place on the bench again, which is a slight plus.

Jose defiinitely still loves Chelsea. "Why Ovrebo?" He wasn't even our manager then and it seems he's still pissed off at it. I love Jose, and I love Carlo too, but in the summer if Jose were to replace him I wouldn't be the saddest man in the world, I'll tell you that.

First half was a shocker. There was no good football played, apart from one sequence that lasted around 10 seconds. This is insane. Busquets and Pedro should be shamed in front of the world (as if they already haven't been) and banned from the 2nd leg for that, that was absolutely awful.

I know! I want my go, I know exactly who I want and he hasn't been picked yet!

Thoughts on next season?
Will Carlo stay? I'd like to think so. There have been loads and loads of rumours about Benitez (WHAT?!) and Boas and Lippi and my cat, but I really do think I can do the jop for us in the long run. He's brought in Ramires, who has just grown and grown since his arrival, he brought in Luiz who's been absolutely immense, Torres had a slow start, but I'm sure next season he can do the job for us. I think he'll definitely use Studge a lot more next season after his stormer of a half season for Bolton. He seems very focused on youth aswell, which is a plus. He just needs time. Sacking him after two seasons after he won the double last year, he's managed to rescue this season somehow and we're somehow back in with a faint shout at the title. Plus it helps that the press seem to like him/respect him after how they hated Jose. KING CARLO! Will we challenge for the title next year? No question. A few additions (creative midfielder, winger, young right back) and we'll be a force to be reckoned with. Will we rely on youth more? Not rely, just integrate them more. PVA and Bertrand will have to battle for the reserve LB slot. Bruma will be 4th choice CB, but I think at 19 that's what he should expect. Josh will surely be more prominent next season with Lamps surely entering one of his final seasons, so he should drop in seamlessly. Sturridge HAS to be in with a shout at first choice next year. I love Drogba, but he's 33 now, he needs to start making way for Studge, who I firmly believe will be a golden boy for us in the next few seasons. Which team(s) possess the biggest threat? Manure, obviously. If City get rid of Mancini, then I think they'll definitely be right up there next season, competing on all fronts. Liverpool I have a sneaking suspicion will be right back up there too, I can forsee Lou and Andy being a potent strike force. Arsenal will be up there, but they'll be their usual selves I think. Tottenham will be more of the same as this season, media darlings, 5th place, faint hope at 4th. Games you are looking most forward to? Manure, Arse, Liverpool, City, Spuds. Usual suspects. They'll be key games. We need a repeat of the double winning season by beating all of them.
-
What changes would you like for next year? (merged)
I like Bale, but I'm not sure. He would suit a 4-4-2 if we were to go down that route next season, whether he'll suit being an out and out winger in a 4-3-3 is another matter.

Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals
No matter what, relying on Arsenal, Blackburn or Blackpool to help us out is incredibly unfortunate for us, 3 of the most inconsistent teams in the whole league. I can see where you're coming from about the Arsenal part though, but as Castiel said, Arsenal are AWFUL under pressure. When they have nothing to play for, maybe they'll be able to let loose a little bit and play their football better.

Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals
I'd like to see Blackburn win just because it gives them something to push onwards in their fight for survival, BUT I still want them to be in trouble when they play Man U so they have to fight for their lives against Manure. Conundrum. Edit: Fantastic volley from Silva, smacked the post inside 3 minutes.

Cesc Fabregas
Really? I didn't know that. Intriguing. Maybe he is what we need and ideal, after all!
-
Cesc Fabregas
He has great talent, but I can't see him coming here at all. He'll be at Barcelona at the end of the season, plus he doesn't have the goalscoring knack of Frank, and we need a goal scoring midfielder, obviously whoever we get will never be as good as Frank, but someone who can pitch in with 10 there or thereabouts a season. Fabregas won't be able to do that. He has the creativity we need, but we'd lose an absolutely vital factor in our midfield.
