You cant take chances with clubs the size of Chelsea......Giroud can give us goals , he's shown that. Its great when a youngster breaks through, but we cant afford to gamble on one of them when playing the likes of Barcelona .

I agree......his stats stack up. Gives us options, Why moan about not getting the headline signings. Aubygangbang is unproved in the Premiership, its likely he'll struggle with the intensity of the game. Giroud is a proven Premiership goal scorer...great business from Chelsea !

This business has been a bloody horrible pill to swallow, but Chelsea MUST stay in the Premier League, end of. Crying over what could have been aint gonna help us acheive that. I love Chelsea, always have ,always will, with or without Mourhino.........Managers come and go, real fans dont. In a few months we wont care as we will be winning again. Lets look forward to a new year (it cant get any worse), and some new players.

Agree totally........unsettled / pissed off/or just plain bored with Chelsea , we need his presence up front. Even if he doesnt intend to stay with us , he needs to get a few good performances under his belt for any club to show an interest in him. At the moment he is just another sulking , injury prone diver to other clubs, who aint going to pay top dollar for him when the transfer window opens in January. Chelsea aint going to offload him for anything less than 20 mill.

Kevin Keegan has apparently been paid off by the Newcastle board , and bought a burnt out house nr the market town of Oswestry , Shropshire, with the intention of renovation !! :P

That would have been a fate worse...... than a fate worse than death !! It was bad enough having to form a gaurd of honour last year. Cant see them slipping up now , but I love to seeing Alicks Fergus's son, sweat his b*****ks off right up to the last game.

Strangely enough so did I ! I dont do all this big time Chelsea very well................preferred it when we came up with those one off results which would take the press , and myself by suprise. Winning like we do all the time (and we dont do that very well ) , wears off over time , and sometimes...just sometimes you wish we could take a back seat from all the press crap and player madness. But I must admit, I'd love to stuff the scousers next week at their own gaff more than anything thats gone before in the last couple of years , even the Barcelona episodes.

Yeah I was there as well. Home and away. So were a lot of other people on this forum. The point you might be overlooking here is that times change, expectations change. Because we were crap back then doesn't excuse crap performances now, neither should it prevent anyone here telling it how they see it. I think you might need to think a little more carefully before diving in with kind of comment. But welcome anyway. Point taken.....sorry if I caused any offence, I was probably distracted by another drab performance. I keep harking back back to the ' bad old days ' in a vain attempt to distract my attention from this seasons laclustre display. Even the forthcoming semis in the biggest club championship in the world (imo) , and second (with an outside chance of winning) , in the best league in the world (imo/2). Doesnt stop that horrible nagging feeling that we are total and utter bo***cks this year. Lets hope that the extra spirit and tenacity that Lamps and Terry can inject into us at times , will see us through what is going to be an interesting couple of weeks.

Before I go........hello to all on this forum , I never got the chance earlier while the game was on. Wouldnt want to come between a fan and his football. I'd hoped to have joined when we were flying high in the cups and at the top of the league , but as a fan who has followed there progress through the late seventies and eighties (I hate to sound patronising ......but) , it puts some of the derogatory comments on this site into perspective. Ho hum.........bring on the Scum next week.
