Speedy work Loz.

Another difficult choice. I'm thinking that we might be better off without a vote until we actually start playing better!

2nd half no-one really played well. But based on the first half I'd say Essien.

It's a toughy.....no one as usual shone to any degree..but I thought Kalou had a solid performance.

Riccy in defence maybe ?

Ferreira for me.

I liked his movement down the flank and he created quite a lot of chances. However, his crosses could not find another player at many times.

He was booked for no reason!

riccy for me too. the attacking 3 had an interesting and fiercely competed game of who could offer the most inept performance.

Riccy C for me. His tackle on Johnson in the beginning of the second half typified his performance really.

Carvalho and Mikel the only stand out players.

Good to see Paulo back (we look so much more solid with him than with Essien or Belleti at RB) , but his play past the half way line was terrible.

Cole will win it though.

Before I go........hello to all on this forum , I never got the chance earlier while the game was on. Wouldnt want to come between a fan and his football.

I'd hoped to have joined when we were flying high in the cups and at the top of the league , but as a fan who has followed there progress through the late seventies and eighties (I hate to sound patronising ......but) , it puts some of the derogatory comments on this site into perspective.

Ho hum.........bring on the Scum next week.

Yeah I was there as well. Home and away. So were a lot of other people on this forum. The point you might be overlooking here is that times change, expectations change. Because we were crap back then doesn't excuse crap performances now, neither should it prevent anyone here telling it how they see it. I think you might need to think a little more carefully before diving in with kind of comment.

But welcome anyway.

I wonder if Everton had scored an equaliser at some point whether the tone would change from praise for many players, to 'who cares, all of them were useless' :D

For me, Carvalho was probably man of the match, but I was very impressed with Ferreria too.

Edit: Not sure why Essien is getting so many votes, he scored a good goal and almost scored a beauty in the second half, but other than that I don't think he had much impact on the game.

carv for me.. the defence was good and i thought mikel really stood out in the midfield, especially in the 1st half.. essien took his goal well but thats about all he did.. ordinary performance overall though.. again..

and hello everyone.. been around in this forum for a while now but this is just my second post(the first one was quite inconsequential in a dead topic) so officially my 1st one..

i've gone riccy c

i thought he was the only 1 that stood out in a tiresome performance

hopefully we saving ourselves for the scouse

45 votes and not one for Joe Cole? Blimey, what's the world coming to. Oh and how come Kalou's mum get's two votes?
