Alcides To Replace Carvalho?
If this guy had been 'pulling up trees' then we would have heard all about it. I really do not see how he is 'ready' to take over from one of the worlds top 5 defenders.

Di Matteo As Mk Dons Boss?
Some friends of mine are MK Dons fans and they swear that Roberto Di Matteo (formerly of this parish) will be the new Dons manager this week! Anyone heard this? If so I wish him all the best. I have been to the new stadium with my mates and it's a nice club. the chairman seems to really back his managers and so I think that Robbie stands a real chance of making a fist of it. I just wonder who is #2 will be. Another Chelsea old-boy?

Deco Signs
Hmmm... First thoughts are minuses. 1. He is 31...Eeek. 2. He has had two bad seasons. Barca did not release him to 'cash in'. They clearly felt he was not good enough anymore to command a regular place in the team. 3. Deco, Ferreira, Bosingwa, Carvalho (plus 3-4 youth/reserve players). Scolari and his new backroom boys. Alex, Belletti, possibly Robinho - A lot of Portuguese and Portuguese speakers about the place. A fear that it will come out the way Ashley Cole described it at Arsenal with a dominance of a cliq of French speakers. 4. The Robinho thing seems on (can not believe the supposed 'fee' - ridiculous). So with Robinho and Deco that surely means the end of Lamps, Kaka, Van Der Vaart etc etc. 5. If we all cringed when seeing the papers and hearing the pundits moan over the 'diving' exploits of Drogba and Robben that is as NOTHING to how we wll be slaughtered if Deco pays the same way that he has played all his career. He is a serial diver and the press will kill us over it. 6. Next season he wil be 32 and althoug he will undoubtedly have put in some good shows, I am sure he will have some shockers. His sell on value will be ZILCH... Echoes of Laudrup? That said... If Scolari wants him then he has obviously seen enoug in him over the past few years to think he can still do a job. Although to any posters that are saying he had a good Euro's I say go to spexsavers....he was pish! Look at the delivery of Van Der Vaart especially on freekicks. That is what we need. Oh well.... IN FELIPE WE TRUST! ;)

Who cares what he says now. "BIG PHIL'S ROYAL BLUE ARMY" *sing it*

Inter confirm our worst fear | Lampard
Looking on the bright side. :) If Lamps and Drog DO go...at least Ballack can take the free-kicks (as he is our best freekick taker) without being molested/harassed etc. We may even score some from set-plays....which would be nice! *clutching at straws here* :(

Alcides To Replace Carvalho?
Sounds like nonsense. Anyhow isn't he a RB? I can't see Phil allowing Ricky to leave without a fight.

Too Quick To Write Off Our Own...
I don't care how good anyone has played for us in the past. As soon as he said "Chelsea disgust me"...that was it for me. Clinging on to him is the behaviour of a battered wife. If that is how he feels...piss off!

Inter confirm our worst fear | Lampard
I have pretty much come to terms with him going now, and I think that Jose has little or nothing to do with it. But after the death of his mum and abuse he gets in England matches/tabloid media in the UK, I think I would want a bit of a change. Also of course he is coming up to 30, so has only one more bigtime move left in him. So if he wants to try playing abroad then now is the time. Fair play to him. I do not doubt for a minute that he has always given his all for us so I wish him well...unless he plays us...in which case I hope he comes a cropper! :D

Daily Telegraph among others now have it too. http://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Football/...+League/Chelsea All the best Frank. :(

Inter confirm our worst fear | Lampard
Talksport are reporting that 'France Football' and Italian sources says Frank Lampard has signed a 4-year deal with Inter Milan.

Forget Deco, Lets Get Arshavin
I guess Barca 'read between the lines' of Arshavin's recent comments and have leaped in. Fair enough, if it's his dream. I just hope we halt our 'supposed' bids for Deco and Ronaldinho and instead secure the signing of Van Der Vaart. His distribution, esp from free-kicks in the Euro's has been a joy.

New Goalkeeping Coach To Join Scolari At The Bridge
That's weird as we only appointed a GK Coach in about Feb last year and he was a personal friend of Cech who had worked with him at Rennes.

Wednesday Track Smith
When Watt played for or was in the squad for the 'Scotland futures' or somesuch a lot of fanzines had him down as one to breakthrough. Keenan and Morris were considered by many to be future first teamers...just for your information.

Too Quick To Write Off Our Own...
I just mentioned this in another thread. Shame I did not see this first. Big Phil may have had a word. But if we want decent money for him and a different style of striker, then at 30 we have to do get rid now.
-
Wednesday Track Smith
At almost 22 I think it has to be time to move on. Yet another that we thought would be first teamers falls by the wayside, ala Steve Watt, Joe Keenan and Carlton Cole. (etc etc)

Drogba Staying
According to todays paper. Milans supremo saays they dropped their interest in Drogba after being told that he was not available. Maybe 'Big Phil' has had a word? It is certainly odd.

Forget Deco, Lets Get Arshavin
That Ben-Haim, Pizarro, Malouda etc are not the only duds he has been wrong with. I have said it before and it bears repeating. If we buy Deco from Barca for £12m, that bankrolls Barca buying Arshavin for £15m So we pay them so that they can buty a better, younger and faster player. As a strategy it is right up there with our history with Veron, Crespo etc.

Sahar To Join Pompey On Loan
Bang on mate. Look how many of the current England (and Chelsea) team came through at West Ham in his time. I think Sinclair will get more 'pitch time' this year but Sahar is stagnating and needs some Premiership time. Good move.

Carvalho to Inter
Are you really a Chelsea fan? I am sure I note an undercurrent about your posts. Sorry if that offends or I am speaking out of order, and I will not pretend I never say anything negative. But something in my guts says 'dude likes a lady'.

Forget Deco, Lets Get Arshavin
Roman had invested almost half a Billion in the club and wanted his favourite player at the club. He was also considered one of the best strikers in the world...if it had been Robbie Savage or Ade Akinbiyi then that would be something else. I doubt Deco has that place in Roman's heart. My only worry is that one of his 'inner circle' (most of which seem to called Eugene) is really keen on Deco. I still hope that Deco is just lazy jounalism.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic
He is a certified LOON! No thanks.

Blackburn Appoint Ince As Manager
That would look great on a Tombstone. Not that I want him dead or anything...just think it would be a good'un.

Drogba Staying
He is a petulant little git. Yes he has put in great performances for us but especially last season I think there was a feeling that he would only play to the max when HE wanted. Mostly he was below average...then the fat Spanish waiter puts him down and he is suddenly a world beater again. Chelsea should not pander to the whims and tantrums of any player. Even one who on their day is a 'right handful'.
