  1. At the end of the year my three wishes were for three flair players to join the club. Any three from these... Dod Santos - gone to spuds Modric - gone to spuds Van der Vaart - ? Arshavin - ? Aguero - Please god NOT to United. I should be given Arnesen's job I tells ya!!!!
  2. Linked again at £5m to City in Sunday papers....
  3. He is an emerging talent no doubt, and is EXACTLy the type we should be interested in. However he is NOT an attacking midfielder in the Lampard mold as stated in the piece. He either plays in the dead centre or in a more defensive role. In fact he has featured quite often as one of the defnsive midfielders (who btw do not play the Maka role) in a 4-2-3-1. Therfore if he did come he would likely b playing alongside Essien. Which I think is a GREAT link up.
  4. Oh good lord not another LOAN out. If you do not want a player you SELLL them!!!! (also see Veron, Crespo, Boula etc etc) *pisses me off*
  5. Reading Saturdays' Times. While reading the article about Crouch joining Pompey I saw a quote from Harry R saying that he had spoken to Avram recently who had said that had he stayed at Chelsea he was considering taking Crouch to the Bridge. I know Crouchy's parents are season ticket holders BUT... Crouch at Chelsea!!!! Would that work?
  6. Why did we never sign up Gus Poyet to out backroom staff? Within a calender year, Poyet has taken a job as Swindon assistant, moved on to be Leeds assistant, on to be assistant at the Spuds...and now sunday papers say that Fergie is an admirer and may well consider him for the job as Man Ure assistant!!!!! What a year!!!! B) Did we miss a trick here? I am sure he would have loved to be in Chelsea's backroom.
  7. I agree with that 100%. An honourable mention should go to Steve 'Fergies whore' Curry btw when discussing those with nothing good to say about Chelsea. But however bad these guys are to us, you have to say that in recent years we have not given them ammunition.
  8. Adriano is a fantastic talent, but fell for the wine, women and song route more akin to our 1970's squad than the modern day parlance. I have to say that £15m + Adriano is a real knicker-loosener. That COULD be a great deal, especially if Scolari is confident of sorting Adriano's head out. Here is the lads Wiki. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adriano_Leite_Ribeiro Great talent unfullfilled would sum it up nicely. But on his day he is superb. Fast as the wind.
  9. Good riddence. Lot of wasters in the game these days.
  10. I laughed my nuts off when Leeds got screwed...thought it was too harsh...but still loved it!
  11. <from the Sun, 11 June 2008) CHELSEA youngster Jack Cork has been handed the England Under-19s captaincy. First-choice skipper Ciaran Clark, who plays for Aston Villa, has been ruled out of the upcoming UEFA U-19 Championships in the Czech Republic. So 19-year-old Cork, who spent last season on loan at Sc**thorpe, has taken over the role. England U-19 coach Brian Eastick has tipped the right-back to shine. He said: "He's already got a lot of experience. "I know Sc**thorpe didn't do too well in the Championship last season but his performances were very, very good. "His time there would have benefited him greatly. "We have seen him mature as a player and a man over the last few years and he has earned his chance." ------------------- It all looks to be going well for jack. He was voted Scunnies player of the year last season if memory serves. Come on the Corky!!!! B)
  12. A grade A legend. Always liked him. A class act!
  13. If I have one wish for the season it is that Drogba goes. He is Chelsea's Ronaldo. No respect. I would rather wheel out Kerry Dixon's old bones than have that twat put on the sacred blue again. As for Anelka, yes he is a whinny bitch, but he is right...he WILL play better when played in his natural role. Basic 101 management that.
  14. Far too harsh. I think that if the 'law breakers' are now gone and it is a different group in charge now, then the punishment should be less, and the rest made as a suspended sentance for say...5 years. That is the way to route out such wrong doings...not screwing Kerry Dixon's old club into the ground.
  15. It's like.... Wenger poaches Anelka from PSG before he signs a full pro contract...£250k, and Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona before he signs a full pro contract, £500k = Wenger is a genius. Chelsea poach Woods and Taiwo from Leeds before they sign full pro contracts = "Chelsea think they are above the law" (a quote I recall at the time from Man Utd loving journo Steve 'twat' Curry!) Funny old world innit! ;)
  16. I live the way that Scouse fans think that DIC being in charge will mean the money floating in. They are the Dubai INVESTMENT COMPANY. They want profit! Thick feral cnuts! ;)
  17. Any such work that does not have Liverpool as 'at least' second is highly suspect. Whenever you talk to opposition fans when going away they all say they hate the feral and loud-mouthed self-professed "best fans in the world", and the lemon-eating face of Saint Steven Gerrard. We are disliked but no'1? Nahhh.
  18. A useless lumbering meatbag. Made 'Emerson Thome' look like a mobile defender!
  19. Jsut seen him on Sky Sports News saying that he does not regret going to Chelsea and holds nothing against Chelsea. He said it was "short but sweet". Fair play to the lad. Very respectful.
  20. *goes off to get the flags out* :o
  21. He is probably the most talented English manager around at the moment.
  22. A few points. 1. Ian McGarry does tend to write 'negative' Chelsea stories. However he has always been very pro-Frank, and indeed ghost wrote Frank's badly recieved auto-biog. 2. The idea that the 'club' are looking to demonise Frank (as some have indicated) is abhorant. i in no way think this is the case and find it sad that so many in these discussions will think the worst of our club. 3. Speaking as someone who has 'Lamps' on the back of his shirt (it was almost Sheva - I missed the bullet there I feel) I have nothing but praise for the role Frank has played in the last 7 years. However there is no way he will be able to justify the highest wage at the club in 3-5 years time. Frank is an all action midfielder, so i think he probably has 2-3 years at top level at the very very most. 4. 2 years of thrashing this deal out is odd. I think it says a lot about Frank's prioroties. 5. If Chelsea were to get what he wants, how many others in the team would want parity? In fact, how many have a 'parity' clause in their contracts? We could find Frank's deal costing us a lot more than we may at first think. 6. If Frank has 2-3 years left, at top performance, then maybe getting one more is actually a good idea.
  23. I love the guy dearly, but if he has not been ready to sign because he wants a 5-year deal and £140k a week as reported in the papers then he can get stuffed. We need to draw a line in the sand over wages, £140k a week is wayyyyyyy to much. Also a 5-year contract for a 30 year old...you have got to be kidding. How on earth is a 35-year old Frank going to be worth a basic £140k a week hauling his old bones around... I have always respected Frank and obviously do not believe 'everything' I read. But I am starting to smell something fishy here.
  24. DELUDED!!!!! Lets get in Socrates and Zico too. Form a Masters dream team!
  25. Love the last picture. "Okay Mr Pizarro...in the picture in front of you, try to find the ball...any ball"
