  1. Really enjoyed the Roots mac, I'll have to check that out.
  2. Arq replied to Money's topic in Chelsea FC Rumours
Jerto, 13. I can deal with that.
  3. I would love to see the numbers in detail, but this is definitely good news for us. Although, I fear that you may be right Scott Harris. If we do not win a considerable amount this year, more so the Prem and the CL, we'll dip back in to the red especially after what we've forked out for transfers this season. Still, we're heading in the right direction even if we do have a setback this year.
  4. When we speak of legends, this man is how we help define the term. Truly a legend for the club and a man that passed before his time. Hard to believe he's been gone for over six years. He would be proud to see where this club is at today. Never forgotten, Peter Osgood, one of the legends of Stamford Bridge and Chelsea FC. Long live his memory!
  5. Sounds like it was one heck of a match and good for Moses to get us the goal that sealed the win. Did I read correctly about Mikel scoring a goal but being offside? Good to get the win, very good indeed. Anyone got highlights? The match was on at close to midnight here and I had to get in to work early.
  6. I won't be able to watch the match unfortunately, but I'm hoping to read some good news when I wake up. COYB! I'm going to go with a 2-1 win for us.
  7. I call it more manipulation than management, even though there's an aspect of manipulation in management. Can't disagree with you that it works, because it certainly affected us (still having a hard time letting it go) and others. The thing is, who would the award go to? If it went to Robbie, it could be the FA "acknowledging" in a non-direct way that they screwed the pooch. That's certainly not going to happen. Even taking that away, with the other dropped points it just wouldn't be him. It can't go to Mancini, he's underperforming and that's putting it mildly. Moyes won it last month so they couldn't give it to him back-to-back. Besides, Everton has dropped some points. Clarke maybe? Point being, there wasn't much left. Fergie was the feel good story of the month "battling" his way back to the top of the table, blah, blah. Makes me sick. Sad thing is, he really is an excellent manager and doesn't need the whining and manipulation. Fergie hasn't been around for as long as he has because he's mediocre. Good to see Mata win the player's award. He was clearly the best player during the month of October and 2nd place wasn't even close. The Utd followers screaming for RVP, Rooney, and/or Young (seriously?!?!) are quite delusional. RVP has an argument for being second place, but not at the same level as Mata for the month.
  8. That's not what you said. Let me quote you: You said that it "seems the fans are finally fed up with him". If I'm reading correctly, Alan, CBB, was replying to that statement. Torres may not be good enough, you have a valid point there, but our fans at the Manu match according to someone who was there, are very well behind him and supporting him. Those same fans could very well feel he isn't good enough, who knows? However they... We, are still supporting him. I know personally, I will support Nando and cheer for him until he stops wearing our kit just as I will everyone else wearing it. So yes, it gets a little hard to comprehend what you're playing at when you're changing your angle of arguments. What's easy to comprehend is your general feeling towards Torres. That's fine, that's your right to feel the way you do no matter what Nando does or does not do on the pitch.
  9. I think Ploks has it right for what we will see as the starting lineup: --------------------------Cech Ivanovic--------Cahill--------Terry--------Cole ------------------Mikel--------Ramires --------Mata-----------Oscar----------Hazard -------------------------Torres However, we know this is a must win or we could be seeing the exit early. So I would, if things aren't working, make changes early (like start of second half up to the 60th min).
  10. Have to agree with this. Cahill is the best we have right now, and it should be a Cahill/JT partnership for Liverpool. JT is the best leader we have, but Cahill is the best CB that we have on his current form. And to be frank, I see Cahill becoming that next vocal leader that we need. Also agree with how well Dave played this weekend especially after not getting a lot of match minutes. Still, we have four capable CB's and that's a good position to be in.
  11. And a handball penalty for Utd. Rooney misses!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!
  12. Very nice. So not only do we get blatantly f**ked over by the referee but if we lodge a complaint because he's allegedly making racial remarks to our players then it's still our fault. Did I get that right? Oh look, Fergie has come out in support. Of course he has. Why am I not surprised? If Clattenburg made ANY type of racial comment towards our players then he needs the book thrown at him. The only way to tell truly is by investigating the claim (with preferably an independent third party). Instead, we get a reaction negatively towards our club?? Bunch of hypocritical bullsh*t if you ask me. I'm very salty today...
  13. Lots of hype over the Manu vs Arsenal match today. I ask you... Why? Everyone knows that if Manu is in danger of losing, the "luck" they will have to get back in to the match will be... Expected. No chance Arsenal win this match especially since they'll start off 11 v 12 I'm sure.
  14. This was very good. I'm not sure I'm ready to give it the title of the best Bond film ever (as some I've heard have), but it was really well done. There were definitely a few things I didn't expect. It was going to be a must own BluRay regardless (since I have all of the movies), but now I'll feel better about spending the money on it instead of just for the sake of needing to own it.
  15. Ready for this one, we definitely need the three points. COYB!
  16. Not here you wouldn't. If you go browse through this forum, you'll find a lot of individuals that show an extreme passion for this club but are rational in their thought process. I know that a fair share of fans would do what you're saying, and many would think that way during and shortly after the end of the match, but I believe you'll think differently if you really take a few minutes to read some of our members' posts.
  17. I'm still seething as well. So I decided to reach out to a couple of my mates, who are loyal Manu supporters. One decided to just gloat about the win and didn't want any part of a rational discussion on how Chelsea were robbed. In his mind, the win was a win and nothing else mattered. The other (the more likely to be able to have a good conversation), I haven't heard anything from and we always catch up on football after the weekend. Maybe I'll get something from him today... There has to be something done about the way officiating is conducted in the league. I was watching my favourite NFL team, the Atlanta Falcons, last night a bit after this match ended (and of course after I enjoyed some quality time with the birthday girl of the house). The officials were just spot on about everything. The head official would talk with his lineman about calls they would make, etc. They ensured that everything they called was the CORRECT call. Even if it slows the game down some, I can take 30-45 seconds of delay to make sure the refs get the call correct. I get it's a different sport, but a good ref is a good ref. So either our refs are incompetent or corrupt. Either way, it takes away from the football being played on the pitch and questions the integrity of the entire system. The FA needs to get involved and fix this. Unfortunately, the FA seems to be part of the problem and the solution.
  18. I can take a loss, especially when we've been outclassed. For the first 25-30 minutes, we were second best on the pitch. After that, we were in control and were able to equalise. Then... Clattenburg decided to put the match on his shoulders. I thought the ref was supposed to be mostly invisible ensuring that the rules were being maintained by both teams. Well, if this wasn't one-sided referring, I don't know what is. Then the offsides for the final goal, what a ridiculous no call. Hernandez was in our goal. For how tight some offsides are called in this league, for that to be missed is just a joke or it was done blatantly. Such a big push about stopping the diving in football, how about this disaster? Anyone that calls this fair needs to borrow a pair of my contacts and watch it again. And I don't want to hear one f**king word about Fergie and his decisions quote. How many times has Manu had a favourable decision go their way? Way too many to count. The lads can be proud after a horrendous start. They showed the grit and determination to get back into this match just to have it ripped away from them. Enjoy the "win" Manu, this is the best you'll see all season.
  19. Heading on Friday to see it, can't wait.
  20. This just goes to show everyone that the CL is no pushover. Anyone can beat anyone on any given night. Those that overreacted to our loss should look at the results tonight and get a new perspective... With that said, Mancini is just not the right man for the job at City imho. From what I read, he was the one culpable for that loss just as much as the players. BD is the real deal. This team is good and will be a force in this year's CL. They best make sure they qualify for next year though, last I saw they were struggling in the Bundesliga to date. I agree with Myles_91's post above in how things are going to shake out. City have a chance, but it's VERY slim and they need help. We, however, do not need help. We just need to take care of business. As much as I hate UEFA and some of their politics, the CL does make for some interesting football matches.
  21. Makes two of us! I've had my wife call the cell phone 3 times now. Love it. I may never answer the phone just so I can hear the ringtone longer.
  22. Ha! I just added my own to my iPhone. I did a trim via QuickTime and took the meaty 24 seconds of song during that clip. It sounds great.
