And yet the media can't help but throw another dart at us without putting our name in the article... http://soccernet.esp...too-far?cc=4716 Last line: "This Villas-Boas team, unlike the last, has real spirit." I'm sorry, did I miss the part where our lack of spirit and heart got us through a 3-1 deficit to Napoli, Benfica, Eufalona (couldn't resist), and finally the trophy that RA coveted the most??? Spirit?? Does this overpaid, idiotic, f**king prick of a wannabe writer understand what that word even means?!?! What is it with the media and trashing everything Chelsea? [sarcasm on]Nope, AVB wasn't to blame at all for our last season debacle. It was clearly just the players' lack of spirit.[end sarcasm] Fortunately for us, that same lack of spirit brought home the Champions League trophy.

Fulham and Southampton up. Looking good early for us.

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
Great game by Nando today. I really hope he keeps that motivation going. A dangerous Nando is obviously very good for us.

MOTM vs Arsenal
Cech for me. No question at all. Without his saves we don't get the three points. Lots of very good performances, but he was the difference maker.

That's being generous.

Everton and the League Cup....
Yes, they should. I don't see a problem with that at all. Everyone else can play for runner-up.

Evissy, I like what you're saying but I'm not sure Danny will be fit for this one. Even if he will, I don't see RDM dropping Torres. ------------------Cech------------------- Ivanovic---Cahill-----Terry------Cole -----------Ramires-----Mikel----------- --Moses--------Mata--------Hazard-- -----------------Torres------------------

John Terry Retires from International Football
I know this has to be tearing JT apart, but good. He's gotten a lot of gruff lately and as Mac has so rightfully put it, you cannot keep going back to someone that doesn't love you. As much as I'm sure he wants to keep playing for England, I think he realises it isn't worth it anymore. This FA witch hunt, and in reality that's all it is, was probably the last straw for him. He's well loved with Chelsea, he's our Captain, and a Chelsea legend. Retiring from the England squad will probably prolong his career here. And I for one am certainly not sad about that.

Tottenham will be in the top half of the table if they hold on. Makes me sick.

Really soft penalty, Valencia looks like he just fell over. And of course, today RVP would convert. Blah.

I'd actually prefer both draws. I don't want Liverpool to think they can crawl out of the basement anytime soon. Could I get a Spuds loss as well? And a few red cards would be nice. Nope, not asking for much at all.

MOTM vs Stoke
I'm going Moses. I thought we showed a lot more signs of life after he came on. There were a lot of solid good performances. I thought Cahill and Luiz did very well at the back. Mikel and Rambo did well. Cole had a good match and well done for the winner. Oscar did great, right there with Moses.

Chelsea v Stoke (PL) 22/09/12 KO 15:00 BST
Definitely a tough game, and thank goodness we were able to get the three points. Still work to be done, but the best teams win the hard fought matches. This was a tough one, and we came out on top. Lots of good and bad. I think Moses is going to be very good for us. He deserves at the very least a start.

Do you realise the firestorm that will start on these forums if Torres bags a brace? Not saying that I don't want to see it happen.

Agreed. I'm anxious to see how he'll do.

Chelsea v Stoke (PL) 22/09/12 KO 15:00 BST
I thought the same thing when I saw the formation picture... Not going to be negative though, we're not sure that's how they will line up or even if they do how it works.

I guess I've been tainted by Vorm's poor throws and kicks. In net he's been very good but his distribution this match has been pretty poor. He did have an excellent save early and that one near half-time was about as good as the early one. Rightful send off for Dyer. That second yellow was well deserved. Maybe next time he'll learn not to bicker with the refs.

Tim Howard is an outstanding keeper. He's had at least two saves that would have gone in 8/10 times. They didn't, he saved them, and that's why Everton are still up by 2.

Chelsea v Juventus (CL) 19/09/12 KO 19:45 BST
Unfortunately, I didn't get to watch this one. I had to get in to work early. Watching the highlights, f**k me. Oscar is a star in the making for this club. That second goal was just sublime. Take note RDM, get this lad in the lineup more often. Being up 2-0 and finishing 2-2 definitely feels somewhat like a defeat. However, like others have said, Juventus is a VERY good team. You don't go without a loss for a year in Serie A without being a damn good team. And I take some solace in the fact that their second goal was from some seriously sloppy play on our behalf. I don't think it's fair to point the finger at one individual for that. If we can fix the sloppiness, we'll be fine. From what I read, they hit the bar late as well? This could have easily been a loss. I also believe that the Mikel/Lampard midfield just doesn't work. I'm not going to slag either one of them, but sometimes things just do not work. This is one of them.

I'll assume for a minute that you're talking about browsing. If you're using IE, stop. Even IE 9 is still mediocre at best. Grab the latest Firefox or Chrome. Once you get a different browser, do a search for AdBlock for that browser and install it. You'll thank me later. Otherwise, clear your browsing history. Purge all cookies, stored passwords, temp internet files, everything. Every page you go back to will store files into your temp folder to allow for cached refreshes later on. This is normal, but it'll help to clean out your system if you remove all of that from the start. I would highly recommend, if you haven't done it, to grab Spybot and/or MalwareBytes and do a full system scan for bloatware and malware. And I'll also assume you've already done a full AV scan of some sort and you've come up clean?
