Comfortably Oscar in my opinion. Other than the daft gifting of possession from the corner which resulted in the Luiz booking I don't think he put a foot wrong the whole match.

Luiz for me, apart from the booking which I think he had to do in all honesty. Thought he was solid.

Mentions to Oscar, Mikel and Cole.

Lovely flick by Mata for the goal as well.

Well done Chelsea!

Has to be Mata for me. That rest really did him well. I still think he's the best at picking out a pass in our team, as he did to Torres a few times.

Oscar based on the performance but tempted to give it to Cole because he finally scored and come the end of the season that could be a vital point.

Mikel.

...waiting for the usual crap about how poor he was from the usual suspects. Yet he was very good.

Mikel.

i dont really rate mikel but he was very good today. maybe its because he was playing alongside rami

I'm going Moses. I thought we showed a lot more signs of life after he came on.

There were a lot of solid good performances. I thought Cahill and Luiz did very well at the back. Mikel and Rambo did well. Cole had a good match and well done for the winner. Oscar did great, right there with Moses.

Voting for Mikel. He responded to the criticism (racist or otherwise) after the Juve game, with a very assured performance.

Was far more progressive than usual and to see him through on goal was a most unusual sight.

Ivanovic for me. Very involved throughout, and there were times where he looked like our most dangerous offensively.

Mikel for me.

But I thought luiz, and Oscar were very good. Midfield looked better than it has for a while probably down to rami. Moses is a gamechanger.

Ivanovic for me. Very involved throughout, and there were times where he looked like our most dangerous offensively.

Thought ivanovic was poor today no end product and for someone of his size, he goes down far to easily.

Went for Oscar as he was easily our best attacking player, but Mikel was a close second.

Went for Oscar. A lot of time it looked like he was the only one trying to score. Other were up there, as they should be, but were only passing it around hopelessly.

I've gone for ramires. Covered alot of ground and made some good runs and tackles. Look so much better with him and mikel in there. Special mentions to oscar, cole, mata and moses.

Mikel.

I thought he did ok, but the problem is he really slows our game down. Also I thought Nzoni, who we were linked with, had a decent game & much more forward thinking than Mikel for a DM.

Cech - 6 - Not much to do, but spilt one shot which could have been costly

Cole - 6.5 - Solid but apart from that 1 run which led to the goal a little unadventurous, always stopping around the edge of the box instead of pressing on and looking to cross

Cahill - 7 - Didn't do much wrong

Luiz - 6.5 - Lucky he wasn't sent off

Ivanovic - 6 - A few decent bursts forward, but spoiled by his diving

Mikel - 7.5 - Played quite well, broke up Stoke's game and didn't give the ball away too much.

Ramires - 7.5 - So much better when he's in the centre

Oscar - 8 - Eager to get the ball, quite a few shots though a few lacking any real power. Certainly didn't have any real trouble with Stoke's "physical game" which people were saying he might

Mata - 7.5 - Lots of neat touches and created a few chances

Hazard - 6 - A little off the pace, more wasteful than Mata and Oscar I thought.

Torres - 5 - Worked quite hard, but created very little for himself or others. Had 1 glorious chance and totally messed it up.

Subs:

Lampard - N/A

Moses - 6.5 - Looked lively and actually ran at people and gave us a bit of width

Terry - N/A

RDM - 6 - Whilst I was happy he finally put Ramires in the middle and gave Oscar a good run out as well, playing this formation of 4-2-3-1 with Mata, Hazard, Torres and Oscar all on the pitch together isn't going to work very often. It makes us far too narrow because they all occupy the same space, meaning we have to try and pass through about 8 defenders. I would much prefer us to play with proper wingers rather than these second strikers. Stick Hazard and Moses for example on either side, then have Mata or Oscar supporting Torres. Something like:

----------------------------------Cech

----Azpilicueta---------Cahill----------Terry----------Cole

------------------Ramires-----------Mikel/Oscar

----------------------------Oscar/Mata

Moses----------------------------------------------Hazard

----------------------------Torres/Sturridge

Mikel was far better than Nzoni. Good passing, good in the tackle today, Ramires played well beside him, can't see how Lampard gets in the team when both are fit.

For me it's between Mikel and Moses, Mikel played well all game, and when moses came on, he gave us that extra dimension. Oscar would come after those two for me.

Mikel for me, broke up the play well, made many forward passes, advanced play effectivley and even found himself up the pitch in a decent scoring position. Solid midfield two with him and Ramires.
