Come on you Canaries!

Andre Schurrle for 15m
I agree with you Davey. I believe this is going to be resurrected in January and my belief is that this signing will be made quickly once the window opens. From reading the news reports, and those obviously come with the complimentary grain of salt, the sentiment is that we wanted to let Danny go but we were searching for a replacement first. I believe Schürrle was, and still is, that replacement. I also believe he might be touted as the long term replacement up front if Torres has another serious dip in form. However, I could see us buying Schürrle and Falcao after that clinical display we saw from him last night. Depending on where we stand come January, I could see the club splashing a decent amount of cash. Who knows though, there's a lot of time between now and then.

MOTM vs Atletico Madrid
Uh... Hmm... So many choices, so hard to choose.

Good to see Danny with us tonight. Good news indeed.

Deadline Day - 31/08/2012
We had a good team last year as well and that didn't stop AVB from underachieving with us.

Andre Schurrle for 15m
Your mistake is the assumption that I haven't been drinking already.

Andre Schurrle for 15m
Dale Johnson, from ESPN, on his "transfer deadline day" chat is reporting that there's no chance of Schürrle coming to Chelsea. I know it's worth a hill of beans, but figured I'd spread it anyway.

Deadline Day - 31/08/2012
I always enjoy this day, lots of activity and all of the speculation of the window comes to an end. It's like opening a present and finally seeing what the surprise is. As much as I would like to have Schürrle here, I don't think I'd like him at the expense of Sturridge. Seeing that Schürrle can play anywhere up front, I don't see why we can't keep Danny with him if we get rid of Malouda and Yossi (and possibly the Bison). However, if the club have a feel or know that they cannot re-sign Danny, then it's best to sell him and try to get maximum return.

Champions League Draw
Our group could have been a lot worse. We should progress through, along with Juventus I would think. Bring them all on. We are afraid of nobody.

Andre Schurrle for 15m
That he can. He would be a very welcome addition.

Champions League Draw
City in pot 2 with Dortmund in pot 4? Wow, that's interesting to say the least... I'm sure we're going to see some pretty tough teams regardless with our draw. We can get through. We WILL get through.

Is Lionel Messi to blame for CFC dominance?
Hirshey is just a bitter prick. He'll slag us off any chance he gets. He thinks he's "cute" in his journalistic style when it's just really painful to read. Even if I was just a neutral fan I would think of him as just a jealous and bitter fool. Three words for you Mr. Hirshey... Champions of Europe.

I noticed that as well. Sad thing is, most of the people probably wanting to discuss the match are watching it and don't need the cruddy commentary.

Mr Tevez, Here is your gift. I hope you enjoy it. Sincerely, Skrtel

I'm hoping for a draw. City lose points, and Liverpool get sapped of any momentum that they had taking the lead twice in this match. City draw in the 88th min, match ends 2-2 is my prediction.

Chelsea v Atlético Madrid (USC) 31/08/12 KO 19:45 BST
This is a match we will not get to play in very often. I'm definitely excited for this one. Let's get an early trophy and keep this momentum going.

Any last minute wishes/business to be done
I think we're a little overstocked to be honest, I would have liked to see Lukaku and Josh stay to get some more playing time. I'm certainly not griping, I just hope that they have the ability to compete for a spot on the team next year. Otherwise, we're good. No more players in. I wouldn't even mind one or two leaving that wouldn't get much time anyway.

Hats off to the board
We can always blame Kenyon, it's our right!

MOTM vs Newcastle
Voted for Mikel. He did everything that we need him to do today. He was intercepting passes by the opposition, helped out our defence, had some good passes of his own. He seemed to be where he needed to be and more. Many times when Newcastle had something going, it was Mikel that broke it up. This is what we need to see from you Mikel, keep it up. Minus that skyward shot early on. Don't do that again, please. Cahill right there with him. I completely agree with Just. In JT's absence, Cahill is the guy that steps up to become our captain on the back line. Hazard and Torres had great performances. The whole team played well with again great subs by RDM. We've been saying that since last year. We questioned AVB's subs (or lack thereof at times), but we haven't done much questioning at all about RDM's subs. I know it's early, but there are some good times ahead if RDM can keep doing what he's doing.
