MSK Zilina v Chelsea (CL) 15/09/10, 19:45 BST
I thought it was a fine game yesterday. 4-1 is a good result especially away from home with some of the young players getting some well needed time. That also gave some of the regulars some time to rest. Ok, so their one goal was a fluke. Unfortunately, that stuff happens. A three goal differential is nice after the first game. All in all, a great start to the CL campaign.

Positive press
I thought it felt a little chilly... :P

Champions League
Where did you hear that from? I would find that notion to be laughable.

Champions League
They are more liked than we are. UEFA cannot leave us out of pot 1 so they made sure that Arsenal joined us. It is kinda funny to see 3 EPL teams in pot 1, 0 teams in pot 2, and one team in pot 3 (if the Spuds make it past the Young Boys).

I just have this feeling we're going to see Madrid grouped with us. Call it a hunch...

Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals
Well said. For the game today, I was behind Fulham 100% and cheering as if I was one of their fans. Anything that helps Chelsea stay at the top provided they take care of business which they have for the first two weeks. And honestly, they deserved at least a point out of the deal.

Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals
Watching this game, I'm just in shock. Villa look like they want nothing to do with being there. Being down 4-0, I guess I can understand it. Good show by Newcastle no matter what the final score.

This made me crack up this morning! Why? Because I thought the same way.

Guess the price tag has been set... http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=814850&sec=transfers&cc=5901 If that's true, wow.

Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals
I have to admit that I had a smile on my face seeing that red card for J Cole. Fantastic signing so far, yes? I agree that it's been kinda painful to watch. I enjoyed watching the Tottenham/Man City game more than this one...

Welcome Ramires! I'm happy to see everything is finished.

Carvalho Sold To Madrid
Good luck Riccy! I'm sad to see him go, but I think the fee was good that we received and the timing was spot on. Hope he gives Barca some fits at RM.

Ozil signs for Real Madrid
I know it's goal.com but here's one of the latest articles... Link: http://www.goal.com/en/news/11/transfer-zone/2010/08/09/2062350/manchester-united-readying-bid-for-16m-rated-werder-bremen

Ozil signs for Real Madrid
I agree completely, and I admit I'm an Ozil fan. 150,000 a week? He's not worth that, not yet. If Barca really sealed the deal for 8 million, that's imho one nice bargain. A player of his potential is definitely worth a shot at an 8 million transfer fee, but not if that includes 150,000 a week.

Ancelotti "two more signings"
That is what happens. I've watched Ozil for quite a while myself. What I see is a lot of raw potential that needs some coaching. At times, he is the best on the pitch. Other times, he's non-existent. He IS a talent, and imho worth spending some money on to see if he would become that superb player. I don't think anyone can argue that he's not quite World class... yet. That's the point. Let's get him in while he's on the way up not after he becomes one of the hottest commodities in the World and would cost double or triple the cost. I would be giddy if we were able to sign Ozil. I think he's going to be a force on the pitch for years to come.

Ancelotti "two more signings"
Not to continue to veer off the subject but... Sapporo people. Get on the Sapporo train. :) And if I need something that's light but tasty, Sam Adams Light.

Liverpool sign Joe Cole
I did get a kick out of some of those.

Ancelotti "two more signings"
That's not actually saying much imho. :P

Torres Leaving L'Pool
I, for one, am glad to hear that he's staying. And the major reason is that I didn't want our club to shell out that stupid amount of money for him. He and Liverpool can have fun rotting together.

I just read an article on espn about that (I'm assuming you're talking about the Chinese billionaire trying to buy them). http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=811318&sec=england&cc=5901

First 11 for next year
I've got to agree. That's if the reports are true and we inked Ramires. Even without, we still have a very strong squad.
