Game of Thrones
Snoop was hard to follow, and McNulty's accent was a litlte... lacking, but I was fine with it. Although it did take me 2 seasons to realise Snoop was a woman. I agree that Game of Thrones is more fun, but I love a good bit of intrigue and multi-layered dialogue and The Wire has more of it.

Game of Thrones
The best show for interweaving plots and realistic story lines for me is The Wire. Like this, the synopsis may put you off, but the depth to the characters is quite brilliant, you can easily rewatch it a few times and discover motives you didn't notice. A brief synopsis, even if it puts you off. It's a show about Baltimore focussing on the police and the war on drugs. It tells the story from the point of view of the police, the drug dealers and the addicts as well. All of the characters are deep and have multiple motives the whole way through and the characters as well as their motives evolve through the show. As the series goes on it brings in other perspectives, the dockyard workers and their struggle for work and their union's politics. The political system, where the power lies and who's motives push what and the effect they have all the way down to the drug addicts. The school system and how it struggles to help and protect kids in the inner city and how those kids grow up to be the next part of the systems. The final series brings in the newspapers as well, the struggles of the printed press, but also how the press affects the police, the politics and the world everyone lives in. It's intense, slow at times and requires your attention. The first 3 or 4 episodes may be a struggle to get through for some, but it's well worth the time you put in to it.

Game of Thrones
The best of course is Roose Bolton.

That hatred you feel is what makes him a great villain.

Game of Thrones
I completely disagree with wanting Joffrey and Cersei to die. I love a good villain in a story. They add so much and some of Cersei's dialogue is wonderful. Along with the Tyrells' mother, she has great dialogue with Tywin especially.

Can I see your business card?- Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2013-14
Iniesta is a decent footballer.- The "I can't believe I got it so wrong" thread
Haha, maybe not on Mineiro. Putting the list together I was just realising how often I'm wrong.- Wearing other teams colours
I have a Valencia C.F. training top.- The "I can't believe I got it so wrong" thread
These ones. Also, I wrongly thought that: Eto'o would never be worthwhile Mineiro would be world class Josh McEachran would make it Deco would be our best ever signing Zola would marry me (it's legal now) In summary, if I say something, it's probably wrong.- José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
I think he was just deflecting from other issues. Lack of control, Matic wasn't ready for the pace of the game, Luiz can't slow a game down when needed and there were poor performances in the forward line. Balls is just simplifying and taking away from the issues.- Crystal Palace v Chelsea (PL) 29/03/14 KO 15:00 GMT
Yep, just play it wide and then cross it in to a penalty area where the opposition have 4 centre backs and we have Torres, Hazard, Oscar etc... It's not as simple as just playing with more width, if it was, Man Utd would be winning the league with their 50 crosses in one game.- Crystal Palace v Chelsea (PL) 29/03/14 KO 15:00 GMT
I think that's kind of harsh, but I can see where it'd come from. There's more than one way to skin a cat and more than one way to build a dominant team. We can still be dominant by being powerful, I just used Modric as an example. Modric and Mata would give us one kind of domination in terms of possession. We could also get that powerhouse style with an Essien alongside Matic or a Pogba if you're looking for a transfer dream team example. I don't even know what I'm looking for nowadays. I loved Bayern's style last season with Schweinsteiger and Javi Martinez forming that base, this season it's Lahm and they're still dominant but in a different style. I enjoy that powerhouse bulldozing style, but I don't get the feeling that's what we're going to get from this Mourinho side, I'm not sure what we're going to get from this Mourinho side other than hard work. Hard work just isn't enough to win everything.- Diego Costa to Chelsea
I believe Juninho scored 3 corners in a single season.- Crystal Palace v Chelsea (PL) 29/03/14 KO 15:00 GMT
Today didn't feel like a poor effort from our players, it felt like the wrong players and the wrong way to play. I get that our style is to demolish teams on the counter, but this is not the kind of game to do that. The whole first half there was no sense of control, no chance for us to just dominate the ball and build up that big pressure. We need to be better at keeping the ball against the sides who defend and press like Palace did today and that's down to our midfield. Luiz can't do it, he doesn't have that mentality to take the sting out of the game, which works against the best sides, but not here. Matic just didn't seem used to the pace of the game today, which will be better next season, but it's a tough lesson to learn here. I'd like to see us look at a centre mid in the summer, someone to play that Modric role alongside Matic in these games. Tough result to take and it puts us out of the race, but I think it highlights that our centre mids are still in need of attention, a striker alone won't win us the league.- Crystal Palace v Chelsea (PL) 29/03/14 KO 15:00 GMT
This is always my concern with Luiz and Lampard both being in the side. They're very direct, which is sometimes what we need, but it gives us a lack of control. Need Oscar on for one or other of them. My preference right now is Luiz off, but either will help I think.- Lukaku to Everton
This is my current feeling and concern. I haven't seen anything to dispelled it yet. I feel as though link up play is the big thing we need in a striker right now.- 2014 Running Costs - Dig Deeper than Dirk Diggler
I get paid Friday. I'll help out then.- Man Citeh v Chelsea (FA Cup) 15/02/14 KO 17:15 GMT
It'll be 4-3-3 no?- Toni Kroos
It certainly doesn't look better.- Toni Kroos
I have always liked what I've seen of him, but haven't seen enough really. For those who do watch the Bundesliga more regularly, what do you think of his work rate /defensive side. Also, would we be happy if we got him and Costa if it meant missing out on Shaw? Considering homegrown status issues?- Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2013-14
I was speaking to a mate of mine who's a season ticket holder at old Trafford. He was saying that all they need to stand a chance of getting the league next season is to replace Moyes with Klopp. Sign Mangala, Rodriguez, Vidal, Gundogan, Reus and maybe someone else as cover. So they're not far off.- Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2013-14
No.- Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2013-14
There's an Italian side that came very close to signing a female footballer and it would have gone through had she not turned them down. She turned them down when she realised it was just a publicity stunt, the same team had relatives of gadaffi and the like. - PSG v Chelsea - (CL QF) 02/04/14 KO 19:45 BST
