Not speculation, purely putting forward the idea of continuity. Promoting from within goes hand in hand with youth development something I feel strongly about.

He may have made a wrong career move, but no way is Brendan a twat, far from it. If anything it perhaps highlights the blindness of our board by not giving him the incentive to stay at Chelsea. I'm 100% convinced if we had promoted Brendan to work alongside Carlo instead of Wilkins and then given him the job after CA's departure we would be in a better place today and 75% of the rebuilding job would be done.

Why give the interview? It's not as if he's hard up for a few bob. Or is attack the best form of defence. I won't to leave because I'm unhappy and the manager doesn't love me, rather than hear you haven't delivered. You can think what you like about Balague, but Torres or his agent haven't denied it. BTW Balague is only doing what journalists do, their job. If Torres done his there wouldn't be a problem

I was left speechless yesterday when Guillem Balague started releasing parts of the interview on tweeter. My take: in 18 months Torres has produced nigh on nothing. At the same time he has probably been paid close to 2 million, this season he won the FA Cup and the CL. RDM had his reasons for not starting him and reasons why he wasn't trusted to take a penalty. In any other walk of life he would have lost his job a year ago. If he feels as he suggests in the interview, he should hand in a transfer request and become a ballerina, otherwise he should shout the f**k up, roll up his sleeves and prove to every one he's fit to where the Chelsea no. 9 shirt.
