Breaking Bad
The problem here is that I can't discuss anything from Season 3 either, because someone else is working their way thru season 2, or 1. Let me know when y'all caught up and then we'll have a laugh, by then you might need to remind me of the details..

Chelsea fans questionnaire
Glad I didn't bother writing answers for this. You should ask for a tuition refund, Matt. That or admit there is no dissertation.

Ouch, sorry guys. I removed my drunken spoiler, but I can't do anything about Ace's reference.

Last Movie You Watched
Chaw spittle for The Quick and the Dead, partly because it featured DiCaprio, but mostly because it was cheap Hollywood pap. Two six-shooters way up for The Unforgiven. Hackman: "You just shot an unarmed man!". Eastwood: "Well, he should have armed himself if he's going to decorate his saloon with my friend." Or how about the brilliant Peter O'Toole: "The sight of royalty would cause you to dismiss all thoughts of bloodshed and you would stand in awe. Now, a president... well I mean... why not shoot a president?" Let's not forget the quality of westerns from way back, like The Ox-Bow Incident or High Noon.

US Government taking the Internet - SOPA Bill
I'm beginning to suspect that this is about a hugely lucrative indusrty (motion pictures) which sees free online movie viewing as inevitable and damaging to their bottom line. Big money will always find legislators to write up their proposals and see if it flies. You guys may not like alot that comes out of the USA, but our system of checks and balances between executive/legislative/judicial branches assures that bad law gets struck down. Most of the time it works, certainly it's working here.

Chelsea Should Wear Royal Blue!
I hope we go back to royal blue on blue, mostly missed it the first time around. Retro is really in nowadays and we have a nice throwback kit.

US Government taking the Internet - SOPA Bill
http://www.forbes.com/sites/johngaudiosi/2012/01/16/obama-says-so-long-sopa-killing-controversial-internet-piracy-legislation/ Fear not, Shed Enders, for our president has killed SOPA with the promise of a veto. Other similar efforts may come around because there's big money behind this. But opponents of internet regulation can take heart that their voices were heard, and that the proponents have to start from scratch knowing that it's an uphill battle.

Midnight in the Garden... was a big best-selling novel which rambled, so I would say my man Clint can't be faulted for that. Yes it was odd, but also brilliant. Don't overlook White Hunter, Black Heart or Mystic River. And I would heartily recommend Million Dollar Baby even if you know the hook at the end. I find his pacing very distinctive, longer cuts which pull emotion from the actors, along with strong character development. I might have to give J. Edgar a miss, since I don't care for Leonardo DiCaprio in anything. I don't want to see him playing Howard Hughes, much less JE Hoover. Who's he going to portray next - George Washington? Come on, now. The only time I enjoyed his work was in Gilbert Grape, due to him playing a mentally impaired teenager, which was amusing. If Wayne Rooney or Stephen Hunt were actors, I'd want them playing that kind of role, too, unintentional comedy gold for a hater like me. I sat through Titanic mainly because I knew eventually DiCaprio was going to get his hair wet. Catch Me If You Can rang true because he fooled everyone, which he seems to have also accomplished in real life.

MOTM vs Wolves
Since I'm the only one who selected Ashley Cole, I'd better explain. He was clattering anyone in orange all match, right at the line of acceptable play, raising the intensity level for the whole team. Add to that his delivery of the most crucial pass to Frank, perhaps reversing our current bad moment, and there you have it. Respect also for Ramires and Mata. I'm with Loz and Just in thinking Torres wasn't MOTM, to me he did just enough to justify his place in the lineup. I want him to come good as much as anyone, but it didn't happen today.

MOTM vs Villa
I'll go for Mata, he was running tirelessly all over the pitch. That little guy has fashioned himself into an untouchable. Luiz and Torres were both decent and worthy of mention.

US Government taking the Internet - SOPA Bill
This will roll into next year, and remember that anything this controversial that might become law is instantly sued by concerned parties, and the federal or supreme courts step in. If they don't throw it out, a new batch of legislators will probably repeal it. Our checks and balances at play, so that some wacky congressionals can't harm us all.

Chelsea v Man City (PL) 12/12/11 KO 20:00 GMT
I've downloaded a program called Freecorder that can save a copy of pretty much any streaming video on the web. If that doesn't help, maybe savevid.com will make it happen for you, Zola. Still on cloud nine from the big win. I'm convinced now that this is not too big an assignment for AVB to handle. Between Juan, Romeu, Ramires, Danny and Raul he has an impressive youth movement in the starting 11. Any of those 5 guys could be MOTM, and pair that with him seemingly having the veterans in line, no small feat. Monumental day for us, my favorite win since the ManU match when Joe Cole backheeled a winner on the road. This one is jams it right up the doubters and haters. I'm developing an ability to tune out the analysts and focus on the crowd sounds and AVB's ravings. On the downside, I think my lady is now infatuated with Balotelli.

Saw "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" last night. I'm not a big fan of the past versions, although the one with Mark Walburg wasn't bad. This one is a real departure, and an improvement on them all. The story was completely unique to the Armageddon theme, this is more of a virus and gene therapy theme, and very interesting. Lead chimp Caesar was clearly modeled after Gareth Bale.To me the best part is either the CGI ape effects or the effort put into pulling emotion out of these digital creations. Very highly recommended.

Chelsea v Valencia (CL) 06/12/2011 KO 19:45 GMT
Holy crap, that was fantastic. Tight defense, Luiz staying back, all 5 doing thier job and then some. We won the midfield battle, which cannot be taken for granted anymore. Dangerous attacking by Dan, DD and Juan, they made the guy named Ruiz look foolish wiith their skill.and pace. Big shout to AVB for the obvious work put in prepration for this match. That was big, and I'm sure you are all as pumped as I am. Chelsea forever.

MOTM vs Valencia
Show me a clean sheet and I vote for a defender. Ashley Cole played out of his mind, shut down his side which is where Valencia wanted to attack us. Nod to Big Pete, Branny and Didier.

Lofty's Wall of Sound - What are you listening to?
Snow Patrol was the name of the flag football team I played for in college. Most were from south Florida and hence the snow reference, white uniform, white socks, white line, you get the point. That band is electronica bs, but these guys rule:
