  1. This is a great thread, Coco. We don't need a new manager, we need some performance.
  2. Hello and welcome Gappy. It's good that you do as you're told, but your first question ("how's tricks") is not very challenging.
  3. Let me be the first to welcome you, Cheshire! It's a bit gloomy around here now because of these sorry performances, but this site rules for CFC fan and I'm sure you'll be glad you joined.
  4. My dilemma at the moment, Scott. I think I'm going straight through...
  5. Ivanovic for me. His dominance at RB allowed Luiz the freedom to be so spectacular. Seconds to Ashley and John likewise. I believe that we're going to see Luiz moved forward when Alex returns.
  6. You know Yorkley, if our results don't improve, Carlo will eventually either leaxe or be sacked, that's undeniable. You too have a breaking point where you won't support him staying on, so where do you come off attacking folks who got there before you? It's fine that you still support him, I'm with you on that by the way, but it's also fine that some people don't. To stand on your idea of high ground and try to impose how posters should or should not express themselves here is some pure bullsh*t. Those 2 examples are about 0.5% of what you've similarly expressed, about how real fans should bring it. I find these takes on Chelsea coming from everywhere go from brilliant to lame, and from knee-jerk to steady. All you members who think we need an overhaul or a different manager, you may be right. You that think we'll come through this have a point, and I want to hear it. Even the WUMs can be amusing because we see they sully their own favorite side. YorkleyBlue, you suck and get dead flowers for a Valentine.
  7. Agreed, Gary. That guy is showing how it feels to be a dedicted football fan. The feelings of elation are probably 7 on a 10 scale, while the despair is an 8 or 9. And I can't take my own posts seriously with this Abbie-normal avatar.
  8. Eggy, I didn't mean that at all - when I said Yossi was "out", I meant "injured". The manager's confidence bit was referring only to Josh, and the point was simply that we needed Ramires to patch our midfield, pretty much all season. He is a determined hard-working player and I hope his upward trend continues, especially against Scum.
  9. Just re-read the old Ramires thread, and glad it was only 4 pages. Spiller, I'm sorry for putting myself amongst a wave of bashers in the moment who wanted to push people's buttons. Media, rivals and haters were all saying similar things. They're idiots, and I'm not here to wind anyone up. In hindsight, who would have imagined that all three of our regular mids would underperform in the same season? With Benayoun out and Josh not earning the manger's confidence, Ramires' presence has been massive for us. But the jury is still out regarding his future as a regular. He is being paid as such, so let's see him control his side against ManUre. Then I'll consider apologies for the harsh opinion of him.
  10. Nice topic, Jawan. Miine are Steven Gerrard, Stephen Hunt and Carlos Tevez in order. The other scoundrels on my radar are Crouch, Vidic and Rooney, with an honorarble mention to Arse Wenger. Just thinking about these misfits puts a metallic taste in my mouth.
  11. A site with DD's goal, and then one with all four: http://www.soccer-blogger.com/2011/01/24/video-didier-drogba-goal-vs-bolton-wanderers-chelsea/ http://soccermaniax.com/tag/d-drogba-goal-video-vs-bolton-wanderers/ Fantastic result!
  12. Thanks, I suppose. I'm just happy there was nothing in my post that warranted correction. I've just read the history of French war heroes. It took four seconds and was written on a slip of paper that would fit inside a fortune cookie.
  13. Nice - proof that he's better than Evra.
  14. Tight jerseys and roomy shorts? They should have tight shorts too, since they have no balls. Lycra bicycle pants would work well I think, so they can all quietly but quickly pedal away from training.
  15. At least use a more appropriate name, like FairhairRich. The batch of new signings here show their necks like sheep in an abattoir.
  16. Could star the guy who shared a cell with Mike Tyson, or Sonny Liston.
  17. So appropriate today... Hold that line, baby hold that line Get up boys and hit 'em one more time We may be losing now but we can't stop trying So hold that line, baby hold that line http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9HqogbzHyg
  18. Booing your own team is despicable, SBCB. No way that the fans' displeasure was what lit a fire under Essien to make that great run and pass, or that kept the linesman's flag down. We aren't right yet, but still have plenty of fight and we're still in the game. So our 12th man is off form too , and I can see why it's hard to sing and be raucous. But fans need to keep up the fight too. These boo birds can stuff it, they are a minority and aren't helping anything. And thanks Hutch, wouldn't have known that.
  19. Captain Fantastic for me. In a must-win clean sheet effort, I'll go for the winning shot or a defensive star every time. JT saved the day at least three times, my favorite being the cross he prevented Cahill from finishing, and almost killed himself on the post. Since the goal was a threeway effort, Essien, Drogba and Malouda get 1/3 honorable mentions, and big ups for Ramires winning his side of the midfield.
