VAR is still a work in progress, there have been some vital calls which have decided games in a good way, still kinks and glaring issues, but its going in the right direction. The guys in the studio need to be much quicker to flag issues to the ref and ideally the referee would view the incidents on the big screen with everyone else in the stadium, just like they do for the rugby. Running to the little TV takes a bit too long, they need to figure something out to speed that up.

He's on £350,000 a week, we wont pay that. He's won the Champions league 4 times now, incredible. Where does he go from there? In my mind, there's nowhere else to go higher in the ambitious side of things. For me Madrid are the biggest club in the world. The only option for him is to stay and try and win more European Cups. He may not be as popular as Ronaldo for Madrid fans, but that goal will surely buy him at least another season or two...

I felt bad for Karius at the time. the YNWA stuff is just hilarious now, given that all the players just abandoned Karius, completely. Only Madrid players went over to him after some considerable time. Liverpool fans should be reminded of this :)

I read that as an Israeli citizen, Roman can come to the UK whenever he wants and stay for 6 months at a time, provided he isn't 'working'. I think what we have here is a loop hole being well used.
