I stayed at the chelsea millenium before one night, was very nice. Im thinking its the stoke game i'm going to, already lined up tickets. :)

Looking to whisk the bird away to London for a weekend, she has never seen a footy match so a good excuse to take in a game and go out for a night or two. I would normally stay at travel lodges or whatever when traveling with the lads, bit different with a bird though! Can anyone recommend somewhere with decent value for money for two nights? Would be looking to go in August...Ideally the 1st game of the season.... Looking into the west brom game or the end of august against Stoke.

I have mixed thoughts: - It's all complete lies and I can't believe people are still welcoming this type of theory. - As pointed out by someone on here, its probably not healthy to wish suffering on anyone with the public humiliation thing. - Why would they wait 14 days? For the respect of Cappello? The papers have no respect for anyone, and they already dislike Cappello enough.. - It would be interesting to see how the papers handled it, if it was remotely true, which is just isn't.

Interesting points. I think footballing standards globally have improved, as well as fitness and coaching etc... That's maybe why the games are more tight now, not as of a much gulf between the previously considered minnows and giants.
