  1. I think the Nani incident show's that crying wolf can quite quickly turn against you. I immediately assumed Nani was up to his usual Oscar winning performances, until I saw the replay. That tackle had the potential to end his career.
  2. Did notice our own Essien was wearing some suspect neckwear during the Copenhagen match, wasn't too sure wether it was a high necked t-shirt or not, but, was troubled by the sight none the less. Will there be a public burning after the ban?
  3. Really like the look of the above....leaves good options on the bench as well. Definitely feel it's time to see what Yuri can do from out wide.
  4. The Perm for me. Unfortunately, I think it may cost us a few red cards to settle him down, but, it was great to be deciding between two new signings for MOTM, with Ramires being the second.
  5. For me Kalou is a bit like a dog without a pedigree...you know it's not going to win Crufts, but, there's no need to put it down.
  6. I don't think it's "pinning so much hope" as looking for a decent sub to make an impact in midfield, which, I think has cost us dearly, coupled with Lampard and Essien injuries. Although, I think Zhirkov's injury has made the lack of midfield cover a worse situation than it would of been otherwise. Whilst I take your point about not being able to get a start, he did get 19 starts and 11 subs in the 2009/10 Premiership season for the Scousers.
  7. Based on current form, I am thinking it will be a while before I disagree with that, especially in light of how quickly it was asked of him to produce results.
  8. What I did find insightful was the amount of West Ham fans that actually managed to say "Yossi...he'll do well at Chelsea", before launching into the usual "F**king fat Frank Lampard", etc. Upping the level of conversation by this much, clearly indicates, how much they rate him.
  9. I think Carlo will give us much playing time as possible to Benayoun once he is back to fitness, if Torres is consistently picked. If I remember rightly, the understanding between Benayoun and Torres always looked good. Torres, even mentioned looking forward to playing with him again in one of his first Chelsea interviews. Surely, Carlo has picked up on all of this and keen to see the two pair up again. After losing Ballack and Cole, I feel Benayoun's injury has cost us dearly this season when we needed to change something in midfield. I know we didn't see much of him before injury, but, he has always been a good impact player wherever he has been in the past.
  10. I saw enough of him against Bolton at Stamford Bridge last season to think he deserves to see more time on the pitch, however, as pointed out earlier, he has only just come back from injury and it remains to be seen what Carlo's plans are for him.
  11. I have no idea what will happen, I am guessing that football aside, personal circumstance will have a deciding factor. Drogba has moved home fourteen times since he was five and has stated that he has no desire move his three children around, although, I would assume moving anywhere with a millionaires bank balance would ease the upheaval somewhat. I have gone with option four as I hope he will stay, which I think will have a lot to do with whether the management want him to stay or not and...should he stay, if he returns to form, I think the answer is obviously yes.
  12. I thought exactly the same thing, but, now they are gone I miss not being able to vent my spleen at the pair of mugs.
  13. Try Google maps for William Morris Way, straight after Wandsworth Bridge. You can park around there if you get there early enough, Pay & Display, but, don't remember it being extortionate.
  14. PVA is really giving Derby some problems in this game. Would be hard to criticise our academy, based on some of the loan performances since the transfer window. Some of these guys look ready to step up when we need them to.
  15. Anyone watching the Derby v Leicester game? PVA, looking really lively...just put in a great cross.
  16. If we win against Everton, it looks as if the game against Man U will be moved again....unlikely to be a weekend though, looking at the fixtures!
  17. Used to play this over and over...thanks for reminding me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3R_-3w_Iwk0
  18. A bitter pill to swallow today. With out looking at the other posts, Luiz was the only thing that made me feel good today.
  19. I had to pop duo of body parts back into my trunks around the pool last holiday. Unfortunately, I am at the age where they don't have to be Speedos for that to happen anymore. :D
  20. Anyone catch Rafeal's finger pop out of place on ESPN? I must be getting screamish in my old age!
  21. I think that if adding Torres into the mix does not suit either Drogba or Anelka, Sturridge may well find himself back at the Bridge playing first team football next season if he performs well at Bolton. I think it really remains to be seen if a Drogba and Torres partnership fires Drogba back into form and at least another season or if Anelka shines sitting behind the front two as he did at Sunderland.
