I must admit there was a time when I gave Malouda and Kalou a bad press more often then not when they played. After accusing Malouda of only playing in the last ten games of the season, he has well and truly proved me wrong. I am now hopeful of being proved wrong by Kalou, who seems to be gaining the confidence he requires to play consistently every times he plays. Mikel must be aware he needs to put in a first class performance every times he plays, with Ramires bound to be snapping at his heels, so fingers crossed there too. I'd like to see Mikel recieve some adulation, I think he mostly did what was asked of him week in week out when Essien was injured, but, was always compared with Essien in that role, which is a lot to live up to.

Maybe he we will get an opportunity to showcase his talents sooner rather than later, if the injuries to Ivan and JT prove to be ongoing.
