To be honest chippy,Ballack did 'puff' a bit and to be fair to the guy,with the career & the knocks he's had that's only to be expected.But,half the season's games for half the money sounds o.k. to me,he is a very experienced player at club and country level and I'm sure we would'nt have been so out played against Man Utd in the CL if he'd been in the centre of the pitch. But the main point still remains,who & why are decision's like this made?,what's the plan,is there a plan?,because for the first time in many a long year,I think the powers that be at CFC,are really clueless as what to do next.

Yep,that's a fair point mate,I wish Joe could have been a bit more realistic with his wage demands because, like Ballack, I reckon last season would have ended different if we had those two players to call on at the time when the team was struggling most,but hey,I guess we'll never know now.

Yes you're right about Ballack,his legs had started go,but as I uderstand it,he was willing to take a big hit to his wages,(maybe a pay as you play deal) to stay at Chelsea and as for Joe, I thought that the money just wasn't there anymore,but the big deals in January proved otherwise. It just seams like the 'Benson & Hedges' part of the Mike Bassett,England Manager film, type of team management to me.

There's a couple of things i'd like from Barcelona,their youth set-up and what ever dirt they have on the UEFA mob that allows them to get away with all the sh*t they pull in the Champions League!.

Well actually I don't,but neither does anyone at Chelsea so it seams.Forget the teams performance for a minute,the second worst aspect for me from season 2010/11,is the at times, shambolic nature of the decision making at the Bridge these days. It started to go t*ts-up at the start of the season when the decision to release senior players to save money/lower squad age/make room for the youngsters,(take your pick),left the squad thin,Ballack was a big miss,yet,we spent £70 million in january,gave big contracts,(but not to J.Cole) and still didn't use the young lads. The injury to Lampard seams to have been mishandled with him aggrevating the problem causing weeks of avoidable delays and the problem with Benayoun was miss-diagnosed in the first place. Wasn't Carlo Roman's choice?,to give his team an 'identity',look at how that went and how can sacking his assistant midseason, halfway through a resevere match going to help with that?,what the hell did he do?. Put the money to one side for a moment,Romans passion for Chelsea is there for all to see,which is fantastic,but what the hell is the grand plan for the club?,at the momment it just seams like a scatter gun approach with a hope that some ideas may just work out. Take a look at the spammers if you want a example of what clueless decision making, (from the three stooges),will get you,at least the arse have a plan................(to fleece their fans till they bleed from the cash cow that is the Emerates). Come on Roman,we all love yer,but fan to fan how about a word from you on the decisions you make about Chels,not from that tw*t Gourlay,but from you. It would make a welcome change,just for once, to hear from the Boss about our clubs future plans,(if in deed,we have any),rather than the ENDLESS bullsh*t from the usual media sources.

You make some valid points,and as for his future at Madrid,I belive one of their directors and enemy of Jose has recently been sacked,so making his position more secure for next year. If Jose IS the special one then he should be up to the challenge of Barcelona,for all the (just at times) critical comments about Barca's play in the semi-final against Madrid,they were just matching the 'gamesmanship' that Jose's teams have got away with for years on end,they simply played him at his own game,and won.

Talking in the terms of modern football,i.e. win or you're fu*ked,Jose lost and to his biggest rivals. Whatever tatics, however the matches went, Barcelona won and Madrid didn't,..............sack the useless bum,(or blame someone else).

To be honest,Hiddink's record outside Holland isn't that great.He does seem more suited to a short term/international type of career, where he doesn't have to deal day to day with muppets like Gourlay & co,so how he will deal with those pr*cks on a daily basis remains to be seen. Still, why not give him the job?,at least when he gets sacked for not winning the Champions League/Premier League/discovering the meaning of life, at least he'll have a good pension to look forward to. One other thought,why is it a manager can be sacked for failling to perform, but not a player?.

Your point about stabilty with the right manager is spot on,but without stability how can you find the right manager?. If as a club owner you appoint a man to manage the team, when, do you make the call that it was a mistake and that maybe he wasn't the right appointment?. In a nutshell,this season has been a failure and as such the manager should go,but if it was that clear cut then maybe Jose should go to and David Moyes,Harry Redknapp,Arsene Wenger and with all the money spent, maybe Mancini,plus Mick McCarthy and so on. I belive that Jose engineered a move away from Stamford Bridge,(for whatever reasons),and he was the right manager,but thats all history now. If the critera was success every season or the sack,Ferguson would have been gone long ago,but, I guess he was the right manager at that time,maybe Carlo is to,maybe he needs a good right hand man,maybe he needs another season to learn about life in England,who knows?. But one thing is for sure,as the ONLY manager in the clubs history to win a league & cup double,(setting goalscoring records),he get's my vote,I don't think that many others would have done a better job with all the bullsh*t that comes with the post,(take note all the behind the scenes backstabbers).

Would really like to know the details of the deal Chelsea offered Borini,makes you wonder what his agent has been saying.To be fair however,I guess once you've played first team football in front of a crowd,going back to the stiffs must be a letdown. However, getting back to the first point,whats wrong with another year's lone deal?.It sounds if Swansea/Borini/his agent come out the winners here,they get a top young talent on the cheap,with a massive potential sell on profit,while we do all the development. Talk about what go's around,comes around, I guess we now know how Man City fans feel when they lost studge to us.

Soul, or the lack of it is the main reason why we as a club,in my opinion,must stay at Stamford Bridge.Arsenal will make millions from the Emerates,but at what cost?. Did you hear Paul Merson say on t.v.,before the cup final, that the dressing rooms at Highbury,with the marble/heated floors were better than the new,(sterile looking),ones at the Emerates?,how's that for progress?. I honestly think we cannot afford to lose the connection with our past,it makes us what we are.The challenge is to make the club finacially strong,while not turning it into a 'franchise' which looking at the state of things now,looks the way of the future.

Can't get the image out of my head of Avram looking lost whilst J.T. gave the team talk against spuds in the league cup final. He's a nice bloke i'm sure,the way he helped Lamps after he lost his mother was class,but is he what we need at Chelsea?.It would be great to see Zola at the club,or Di Matteo for that matter,but really,it should be Carlo's choice,whoever he/she/it is.

The defending for their second goal sums up the match and a lot of the season if I'm honest.For me a much bigger cause of concern is the performance of Torres. He didn't get much quality service,but he did get some and irrespective of when a move happens,how can you explain the state of his game?,his first touch is shocking. He needs to work on his confidence and get back to basics on the training ground,go away in the close season,get away from the game,forget the dippers and realise what a great chance he now has at Chelsea. He is proven quality,but as always you have to work bloody hard week in,week out to prove it.

Would be great to whip Modric away from spuds. 'Arry said they can win the league,that soon went t*ts up,then he said Champions League 'for sure',err, maybe not and now he's a fan of the Europa League!. Now Modric has had a taste of the CL,he may fancy a move to the Bridge.
